Oh, not cool for you that you're not able to track it. You don't have UPS or DHL in Paraguay?

Actually, I spent an arm and a kidney to send the I-130 package express and tracked from France, and then the tracking didn't work, I never got the confirmation it was received.

Luckily for the IV package it worked.

Just call NVC when you think it should be received. The operators could not tell me when they were received, but they could see the packages when they were under review.

I actually sent everything to my parents first because they have some things to add to the AOS package. That was last Monday, the 6th, so hopefully they'll get there next week and then they can Express mail them to the NVC and get a tracking number.

FYI: there was a questions and answers session with the ambassador on USEM Paris Facebook page a couple weeks ago. Of course, I took the opportunity to ask if, after making tourist visa process easier and loosening rules on bans for overstay, President Obama had any plan to simplify the process of immigration visas. :content:

The ambassador answered me, which is nice, but his response was quite puzzling: he mentioned the fact that all immigrant visas for Western Europe are managed by USCIS office in Rome. What?? Anyway, he then insisted that USCIS was doing its best to achieve their goals and process the applications asap. I'll let regular July filers assess this statement.

So it looks like there is no plan to change IV process and make it less complex and long, at least not by this administration.

I think it's pretty sad to see that people who didn't follow the rules and should be subject to a bar can be graced, but the ones who do it the legal way will still have to endure this lengthy and challenging process.

Saylin, Thank you for your answer!

Last questions, I am now traveling abroad that's mean its my mother that willsend the package to NVC (AOS, DS230....) I have prepared all documents before leaving Europe but now i'm wondering if my mother could send the document which are signed and dated on January 20th (when I printed and signed documents)

Does the date matter for NVC ?

Since January 20th was less than a month ago, it shouldn't be that big of a problem. NVC understands that many beneficiaries live far away and that mail takes awhile to get to the US. As long as it's signed within the last few months, I doubt they care about the date.

Eh blink.gif I think that ambassador is confused...

Yes, make sure you do NOT sign part 2 or date it. At the interview, after approved, you'll sign it. It specifically says so on the form to NOT sign part 2.

I thought he implied that he was not sending part 2 to NVC, but bringing to the interview. Is that what you meant Rujby?

The guides say you should not date and sign part 2 but you have to send it (with the right boxes checked) with the IV package, that's what I did, is that correct?

Yes, that is exactly what you are supposed to do. Even though part 2 is unsigned, there is still information on there that NVC needs to review before completing the case.

Yes, and they gave me the number. I saved it. It is before the completion of the payment

Not that is not what i meant Laure. I knew that i had to sign pat 1 and left part 2 unsigned and undated. I just wanted to ensure that this form will be given back to me to sign part and date it at the interview day

Well, I never paid the two fees so I don't know anything about the tracking IDs.

And as Laure said, after you get approved and take the oath (granted, I never took the oath), then you sign and date it, and return it back to the CO.
