People are still getting March dates as we speak. Don't lose hope!

I won't. At least not yet. :D

One difference is that NVC doesn't schedule the appointments for GUZ like they do for everyone else. GUZ is also a very high volume consulate and those dates fill up fast. I'm sure it varies by season, but I've seen people scheduled for interviews two months after the date they were scheduled. Not common, but it happens. It's why I'm nervous to get in that scheduling queue as quickly as we can.

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

Paper work for CR1:

28 July 2011 - 20January 2012 - Day 175... USCIS at CSC finally processed our paper work.

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)

Yeah, I had an interview date 2 months ahead, although NVC schedules for France which is soo not a busy IV issuing post, so you never know. Keep you hopes up.

NVC just told me that:

A) Even though I had thought they had accepted our DS-3032 (Based on having gotten a response from them saying the case was now eligible for further processing), they are now saying that since they haven't requested the DS-3032 from us they haven't accepted it. Thus, we're still at Step 1 with zero forward progress beyond getting a case number.

B) They'll request it from me within 2 to 4 weeks. (Probably boiler plate, but at this point I have no reason not to think it'll take that long or even longer)

So.... The reason we've not received our AOS or IV bill? Our case is still stuck in limbo with no action on it at all.

Happy Monday.

Remember, the AOS and IV are separate tracks, so even though they're claiming that the DS-3032 wasn't accepted, that doesn't affect the AOS being invoiced at all.

And IMO, I wouldn't believe them about the DS-3032 not being accepted. That's just the response from ONE operator. If you want to be 100% sure, then I'd suggest calling up and asking specifically "has my DS-3032 been accepted" to at least FIVE operators. The more the better.

That was kind of weird...I called DOS just to see if they could confirm that our package made it to Montreal, and she just reiterated the interview date and asked if we received packet 4 (which we did, it's just the interview letter and we got it via email). Then she said "have a good day!" Uh...so did Montreal get it? NVC told me they have no way of tracking it either. I guess we just have to go with faith in the postal service! Not that that is hard to do...it's just Canada, but I want to fill in my timeline with the date the consulate received it! :)

Max is currently at his medical, btw, and they DID make him get a flu shot. Oy vey.

Yeah, you're right about the AOS and IV as separate tracks. Just extremely frustrated, as I'm sure you know and see often.

That's actually directly what I asked the guy. Before I had just been asking where the bills were and being told "we haven't generated them yet" (As if I often find myself asking for things I already have). This time I asked directly if it had been accepted and that's when he said that it wouldn't have been accepted since they hadn't asked for it.

More standing-by to stand-by.

Yeah, some of the DOS operators can be weird. I'd suggest calling them up again and ask if the package sent by NVC has been received by the consulate. Hopefully you don't get the same person headbonk.gif

Hope his medical is going alright. And that sucks about the flu shot. I had the same experience :( Wasn't expecting to get a flu shot (thought flu season was over)...

I've heard that stuff from operators before that you had to wait for them to ask for things before sending things. It's just another line they read from their manual, similar to "NVC only schedules interviews during the second week of each month". And we ALL should know how very false that statement is.

True... *ponders a drink* haha

I wonder who would have to "kick" to be able to call someone at the actual NVC instead of know nothing contractors... haha

It's been two hours since his exam started, and all I've heard from him is that he got through the first part (prise de sang, vaccin contre la grippe, pression rythme cardiaque). Hope they let him go soon! How long did it take you, Saylin?

EDIT: Never mind, he just finished. The only thing he needed was the flu vaccine. Results will be available Thursday. One more step down!

Yeah, it took me about two hours I think. My appointment was around 10am if I remember, and I was out around lunch. Most of the time was spent waiting to be called.

Glad he finished though :) And make sure he doesn't lose the medical results once he picks them up ;) Kinda required at the interview laughing.gif

It'll be hard to lose them in a studio apartment! =P

I'm a little concerned because they didn't give him a second MMR shot and he only has record of having one in the past (in the Canada forum, they're pretty adamant that he needs two). He mentioned it to the nurse and she said he was fine. Do they use the blood to test for immunities too or just syphilis? If they test his blood and tell him after the fact that he needs another MMR booster, I'm going to be annoyed.

I'd have to look at my vaccination record at home to be sure, but I think there's only one vaccine for MMR, a combination one for measles, mumps, and rubella.

And as far as I know, no, they don't test the blood for immunities, just for syphilis.

IV package, please be invoiced today

Please note, you want the IV BILL to be invoiced, not package. The IV package is what you send to NVC :P
