I was gonna say, if you had 2011 tax returns filed, you could have included that as the last year on the I-864, making 2010 a previous year that NVC doesn't really care about. So they would just look at your last year 2011 and the current year (2012).

Yep, I think I'll be doing this. I guess as long as I mail the tax return before the I-864 will be considered as filed, right?

Yup, it should. Just make sure you include a copy of the 1040 as well as W2s and any other schedules and forms. Then bring the tax transcript to the interview.

I should clarify something.... the only reason i keep getting anxious about the AOS fee is that it seems most people tend to get their invoice within a day or two. For us it's been four. Not long I know and I'm trying to be patient. Just after all the waiting with USCIS I suppose my patience is thin and I'm still hoping against hope that we'll make it in time for an April interview. Sorry to be a pain.

Towards the bottom of the visa, the following is printed, "Upon Endorsement, Serves as Temporary I-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence for 1 Year." The "endorsement" is an admission stamp from CBP. So the visa with a CBP admission stamp on the page next to it is what serves as the temporary green card until the actual card arrives in the mail.

They always send you the DS3032 by email, it's standard. However, the IV fee can only be paid once it has been accepted, which means that they accepted the email you sent!

Hum I see thank you Laure.... I am so excited to pay IV packet today, as my wife still sleeping I am waiting for her to go to her bank and get her bank account number and routing number to pay it.I only fear one thing now,our joint sponsor will go to IRS local office on Friday, which probably will cause us a delay. I hope that NVC do not start requesting documents from us before friday. Or we could Send IV package first while waiting for my aunty as all these documents and ready in my wife's hand in New Jersey.

You can send the IV package first if it's ready.

And it doesn't matter if the NVC requests the AOS package from your or not. From the moment the payment status turns to PAID, you can send it, but you can also wait a little if you have some things missing. It won't cause any problem. The NVC will wait up to a year.

I think all the time I "saved" by being so proactive and quickly opting in has now gone out the window in delays. The last time I talked to NVC the told me the same "We've just entered this case" thing. They also said that it had been examined or looked at or something yesterday. The unfortunate thing is, I can't get them to see that there seems to be a delay so they won't look at it. Kinda reminds me of USCIS in that regard...
