AOS and DS 260 have been submitted and acknowledge. Now not trying to think about the questions they are going to ask.

Yay, grats! kicking.gif Now to just call NVC daily and asking if they've reviewed your packages.

And Canada is easy for the interview ;) They only asked me two questions: what state does my husband live and how did we meet. I was more nervous than I had to be.

Ok Saylin, Now what do i have to do?

1- i keep checking the payment portal

Just keep checking the payment portal site as well as your email :)

Also, make sure all documents are ready to go. After the AOS is paid, it only takes a day or two to be processed and accepted. Then the AOS can be mailed. So the sooner you have the AOS package ready, the faster you can send it out, the faster NVC will get it, the faster your case will close. This also applies to the IV package. Do you have everything ready for that as well?

Ah, hope you're right. :)

As to the beer, I don't drink much. That said, I might just pick up a pack of something suitably dark on the way home. :D

Going to spend the weekend practicing the interview with the wife. You just never know how things will be with GUZ.

I don't drink much either ;) Definitely find a replacement though!

And good job on being proactive about the interview. I know I practiced reviewing and answering questions before my interview. But I pretty much knew everything about myself (duh laughing.gif) and my husband as well. I'm sure in China though you'll get a lot more questions. Compared to my two questions in Canada laughing.gif

All depends on what kind of mood the VO is in and whether or not they believe/read our 200+ page package...

Sometimes they only ask a handful of exceedingly basic questions. Clearly what is required as a formality. Other times, 20 minute grilling session followed by denial.

I'm fairly certain that outside obvious cases, the path you end up taking is controlled more by the phase of the moon and quantum state of cats than anything else.

Oh, I can take our cat to the interview?? I didn't know that!

Seriously, it's so awful. I'm gonna go through a supposedly easy consulate, and I'm already scared. Why do they have to make your life hell?? Can't they do their jobs remaining civil and respectful of other human beings??

I was reading an embassy review yesterday, I think it was in Dominican Republic, and the CO asked both the USC and the spouse separately if they had sex the night they 1st met in person, and if they had sex the night before the interview, and what kind of birth control method they were using. Are you f*cking kidding me???!! Mind your own genitals!! The way they sneak into your life and show no respect for your privacy is SO outraging...

Well it depends how picky NVC want to be about reestablishing domicile. I've heard about Canada and the interview, especially as we've been married a number of years so no trouble proving true marriage, which makes it annoying that you have to go all the way to Montreal. A friend in the UK didn't get asked any questions at the UK embassy at least he lived in London so didn't have to go far.

The one good thing is that we have never been to Montreal so we will make a vacation of it, hubby's job allowing.

Yeah I've seen some ridiculous interviews where some very inappropriate questions have been asked. But, if I were in that situation, I would just answer. The visa is on the line and I don't care what they ask, I'd just reply.

As far as I know though, France isn't like that, thankfully. Neither is Canada. As much as I'd like to say you don't need to be scared, I felt the very same way. But after the interview is over and you're approved, you'll laugh at how scared you were!

Well it depends how picky NVC want to be about reestablishing domicile. I've heard about Canada and the interview, especially as we've been married a number of years so no trouble proving true marriage, which makes it annoying that you have to go all the way to Montreal. Oh that's right, you've got domicile issues to deal with. So, the interview might be slightly harder, but if you've got everything in order, then no need to stress about it.

And enjoy Montreal while you're there :) Make sure you pick up on some basic French phrases before you leave!
