Rats... I thought I'd sail smoothly over NVC, but not...

So NVC informed me that the case is "complete" as of yesterday. Then just an hour ago I received the CHECKLIST COVER LETTER that requires the beneficiary's Police Certificate, which I DID send it to them with the IV package.

I called them and asked about the email/request. They said I need to request the police certificate to be sent directly to the embassy. But then I already included it in the IV package. How can I get it to the embassy? NVC already has it!

So what exactly do they want? Thoughts?

And if you had sent in your DS-3032 a couple days earlier, you might have gotten a faster CC Although, you made it through NVC in 12 days, just one day short of the fastest record (11 days).

DOS = Department of State. It's another source I'd recommend calling as they'll know of the interview date as well. They're also the ones to call if you ever get into AP/AR after an interview. They'd also know if/when your visa is issued.

When my wife came last october to visit me in my country ( haiti), i have filled the Ds 230 part 1 and signed and left part 2 unsigned. Afterwards, i gave it to her and this paper is currently in the US in her hands. So when NVC will ask for this document from the Beneficiary can my wife mail it to them or will she have to send it back to me in Haiti and i will send it directly to NVC so that they can see that it was sent by the beneficiary?

Phew! I was able to pay the AOS fee. My browser (Mozilla Firefox) was preventing me from making the payment. So I called NVC -I need Explorer to make online payments. aaaarrgh! Now is Done.

Hm, odd. I'd call back and request to speak with a supervisor. Explain your situation. They should be able to help.

Yes, when dealing with any government sites you should ALWAYS use Internet Explorer as their sites are only supported by that browser.

If you keep focusing on it NOT being there, you're just going to be continued to be disappointed. Close your eyes, take a breath, and become positive.

And please, I'm going to remind you again, you JUST got your case number. It takes a few DAYS for it to be invoiced.

I was impatient like you, too, when I got my case number; but after 2, 3 days I got the invoice. Plus, I think it depends on their workload. The a bunch of July-filers just got approved to the NVC stage, so this wave of July-filers will probably cause a few bottleneck at the NVC. So, my impression when they saw these new files coming in is "oh #######, we gotta hurry these guys up [i.e, my files], so we can deal with the new cases coming in."

lol... so you're telling me I escaped the slowness of USCIS just to land in new slowness at NVC... hahaha

It specifically requires the pcc? So when you ask about your case status to the operators now, what do they say??
