Hum... i emailed DS-3032 yesterday before they ask me.

Ditto... though I'm starting to regret doing that so quickly. Most people seem to be getting their AOS bill within a day or two. We opted into the Electronic Processing on the 6th and have been at a standstill since.

I am sorry about it. how long China usually take to schedule an interview after a Case complete at NVC?

That's the bright spot. Presuming they haven't slowed down since I was last heavily monitoring, usually only a week or so.

That being said, after the nightmare of USCIS I'd rather not leave anything to chance and want to be out of NVC and available for scheduling ASAP.

Well, I was going to have a correction made on the certificate they gave me yesterday.

But I came out with a brand new and clean certificate

I really don't understand how these people work and if they're aware of the policies they're supposed to follow...

Anyway, I now have in hand a perfect pcc, which matches the DoS requirements (according to their website) to the letter! It was made onsite at the consulate (they kept telling for 5 months they weren't able to do that :blink:), everything is translated into English and French, and it mentions that an archive search was made - one of DoS requirements, which was actually not mentionned on the first, faulty one - and it was signed and stamped by the vice consul.

So.... instead of waiting for 2 months to have it done in Turkey again, I waited for 10 min to have it done at the consulate, and the fee was.... 3€

I don't know what happened to make them change their mind overnight, but hey, I don't even want to know. I have what I need and that's all that matters!

Now I think I found it on DHL website. Since it left on Feb 8, I made a search for shipments tagged for Feb 7, is that right? I found one going to Paris which was picked up on 02/08 in the afternoon.

And yes, you'd be using the day before (so the 7th) to track your package as NVC gets a DHL shipment number the day before they ship out cases. And it looks like you found it.

Thanks Saylin. It is confirmed. AVR updated the status to "your case was completed..." and the second operator also says it's complete.

Do you know when we should expect to get the interview appointment letter/email?

As for the interview, it depends on your country. I'm not sure the wait time. But I'd expect it to be the average two months from case complete, so going with that timeframe, then you could expect to get the interview date scheduled in the next week or two. Just call NVC and DOS each day and ask if an interview date has been scheduled.

Yeah, every now and then, a case will be at NVC for a week or so after getting an interview date assigned.

Is it known what they're doing during that time? Are they actually working on the case? Doing background checks or something? Or do they just leave it at the end of a pile and forget it there for a few days?

Guys as i haev been told it's NVC that schedule interview, if i request an expedite and it is accepted, will that help me get a quick interview as well?

Well, I'll let you know if my file smells funny at the interview. Chicken guts should leave a fragrant imprint. I hope sniffing hard during the interview won't get me denied, cause I'm gonna say it's your fault!

I honestly don't know. I would think they're just sitting in a pile, ready to be mailed out. That's why they're usually sent out the day after an interview date has been scheduled. Don't know why yours (and a few others I've seen) stick in NVC for a week.

I'm not too positive how it works with expedites. I know when an expedite is requested, NVC sends that request to the embassy/consulate. It's not NVC who decides to approve or deny it. And from that, it might be the embassy/consulate that decides on the interview date (if the expedite is accepted) as the request is sent to them.

31-Jan-12 Received DS-3032 and AOS Fee. Paid AOS Fee and sent DS-3032 by email.

1-Feb-12 DS-3032 approved.

2-Feb-12 Received Immigrant Visa Fee. Paid IV Fee.

4-Feb-12 Sent I-864 AOS and DS-230 IV.

6-Feb-12 USPS delivered and signed.

8-Feb-12 NVC Case complete. 12 days after NVC received case.
