Called today to see if they received our I-864 and DS-230 and he told me to allow them 20 days to review them and that at this time it is not been reviewed yet.

The operators can only tell the packages are received when the packages are being reviewed, so keep that in mind.

Small delay today.

3/15/2012 - IV & AOS bill invoiced and paid. Awaitng confirmation.

My wife finally gets police certificate and she goes to DHL to send all documents. One problem - DHL would not accept originals of birth certificates, etc. Evidently Russian customs reviews each package and will not allow originals to be sent out of the country. So she must now go to government agencies and obtain certified copies for shipment. This will add another 2-3 days.

Are other nations restrictive about sending originals?

Grats! kicking.gif

To find out the average time for CC to interview date assigned to interview is to research using the immigration timelines. Here's a link to the Pakistan ones: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=Pakistan&dfile=No&adv= Have fun with your research, I did with mine last year! :D

All my documents were in English (my police certificate was actually in both English and French). If yours are not in English, I'd highly suggest getting them translated. Go to the March NVC thread and read the first two posts. In the second post (the FAQ), there's a question on translating documents along with my answer :)

Grats on the CC! What date exactly?

And the embassy in Paris won't send any correspondence to you. It's NVC that schedules the interview. Once that's done, they'll email you the interview letter. You set up your own medical at a panel physician. Choose Paris from the drop-down list: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html

It shouldn't be an issue, mine dated 8 months ago - he could back it up with his latest pay stub showing a latest pay period, if you guys feel that it would make a solid package. :)
