Hi everyone,

I came to the US on a K1 in Sept from Canada. My Fiance and I were married in Nov, well within the 90 days. At this point I need to file for AOS and I know I have delayed but I am so overwhelmed after the K1 process, the wedding and adjusting to life in another country. I need help and I know what a great/supportive bunch there is on VJ. Can anyone take pity on me and help layout what I need to do exactly, like what forms, paper work, etc. I can answer anything you need to know to help sort out what I need. Please, please help!

Assuming you're a K1 (your profile says "F1"), It's best to use the guides posted on VJ. Click on "Guides" at the top of the page, or follow this link to the K1/K3 AOS guidelines.

Here is the link..K1 AOS Guide.

SunnySanDiego,

Glad to see you fixed the F1 thing...I know your timeline said K1, but looks better when you post a question re: K1 process, if your profile says K1.

Did the guides help answer your questions?

There is an AOS thread in my signature that should help you.

The thread helped for the most part so thank you but I noticed that it stated the fee is $1010 but I have seen other places that it's $1070. Which is correct?

It's 1070. The OP can't be updated. There is one mention of the update but I was unable to fix the second one in time (at the time I started that post it was correct).

No matter what VJ says you should still always check the instructions.
