Advice please

Hey all, I'm looking for some advice. My husband is a US citizen originally from Algeria with a clearly Muslim name. He was recently overseas in Europe and when flying back through Spain the police were basically harassing him at the airport - asking him excessive, personal questions...this culminated in 4 Spanish officers forcing my husband into a bathroom to be searched....at this point my husband ran out He volunteered to be searched in a public area, which the police declined. They wouldn't let him get on the plane that day, and he had to pay $300 to rebook the flight plus another $100 for a hotel for the night. He was able to fly the next day with no problem and is now back in the states, but he is extremely upset over the whole situation. My question is who can we go to for help? Ultimately, he wants these officers punished for what they did. We have been in touch with the embassy who did help us get him home, but they didn't seem to confident there is anything they could do to get these officers in trouble. Is there anyone we can call for help

Not being there no one can really say what happened. But from what you describe the police may have profiled him for questioning but really did nothing wrong. Seems your husband was the one who got so upset to require 4 officers to detain him.
