So i requested Certificate of No Marriage from NSO, the stated purpose of my request is "Passport/Travel" my fiance Thinks i should have got it as for "Fiance Visa". Should i request another copy stating " Fiance Visa"?

If that is one of the choices for requesting the CENOMAR I would say yes.

Well it is not in the choices, so PASSPORT/TRAVEL is a good choice.

One of the choices is "others" and then you can specify and write it there what is the purpose. When I was there this afternoon to request for my birth certificate and Cenomar I just put in "others" fiancee visa. But I guess there is no problem with passport or travel choice. I think it doesn't matter.

Releasing of Cenomar is after 5 working days.

Releasing of Birth Certificate is after 2 hours.

CENOMAR= no, takes one wk. before NSO issue the doc.

CENOMAR - 5 working days. I requested today and will get it on Feb. 8.

Speaking of the Cenomar, is it necessary to bring the original to the K-1 Interview? I sent the original in with the first package and have a scanned copy of the original. I printed out black and white but I was trying to discus with my fiancee whether it would be worth the trouble in getting a true copy from NSO?

You very likely will need an original CENOMAR for your Embassy interview. Here is what the USEM says on the subject:

2. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. It is important that you submit ALL of the following documentation to facilitate the processing of your application. You may be asked to return for another appointment if you fail to bring any of these documents:

CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE RECORD (CENOMAR). If you have never contracted marriage, a CENOMAR (Singleness) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper should be submitted.

Because you are a K-1er, I'm wondering where you sent your original CENOMAR. You don't need a CENOMAR before the Embassy interview unless the CFO people ask you for it.

Brings originals and copies, most times if they want to keep the document they will keep the copy AFTER seeing the original.

I sent it with the original as extra paperwork. My mistake. Alright, I'll let my fiancee know to order a new one.

I tried to send as much information as I could with the first packet so there were no doubts, but of course you dont see that stuff back until the end of the k-1 visa process.
