So question to those who were approved - this mysterious brown/white envelope - how do you know which is it your not supposed to open?

I mean, the courier brings you one big envelope, containing the passport and the envelope? in which case its pretty obvious, or?

The package we got was super obvious: there was a soft, plastic covering from the courrier service which we opened and inside was his passport (loose), some white pieces of paper with various instructions on them, and a large brown envelope that said all over it "DO NOT OPEN!"

Haha, then I think I will stop worrying about opening the wrong envelope :-) Thanks Alizon!

Yeah, when I saw it, I thought to myself, "how on earth do some people open this accidentally??" Hopefully it looks the same coming from all the different consulates.

I miss this thread. It's sort of an awkward/lonely period of time between the interview and POE. No progress, just self-imposed waiting...

That's right, the uncertainty is over but the moving is not! I've been spending the last 10 days emptying our appartment, selling stuff, and cleaning every square centimeter.... I can't take it anymore! I wanna be gone! The good news is that I'm leaving in 2 days now :)

Same as Alizon, inside the soft plastic courier enveloppe, there was my passport, a sheet of paper from the social security (explaining how to get your SSN), a "welcome to America" leaflet (in French) and the big brown enveloppe, which said (in English and French) "Official business of the United States of America", "Do not open" and "Can only be opened by a US border control officer". And it's stapled right in the middle. I don't think anyone can open it accidentally!
