Well I don't really think that thread really deserves the attention of the site discussion area (no offense steven), after all its a silly little thread to have fun with.

At any rate, I found the handling of that thread to be a bit silly on because it was started without any strict rules and people were posting all sorts of things in it including plain old pictures. In fact the OP posted a few non cartoons as well. Then suddenly there were things deleted and strict rules (like 4 maximum cartoons at one time?)

The fact that the OP is a moderator isn't all that big of a deal though I wouldn't dismiss it as a red herring. In this situation the OP was controlling content. It would be creating a manga print thread, posting information about animation, and then when I see other people posting about animation instead of print, I go ahead and decide to remove it.

Oh well, its all rather silly and I think Charles has turned out to be a good moderator, the moderation on this forum is perfectly fine.
