I-129F Petition for Fiance Approved !!!!!

I wanted to share our happy news that our I-129F petition was approved. I received the notice in the mail today and have updated our timeline. One question: I thought the next step was that the Vermont Service Center sends the packet to the National Visa Service Center. My letter states "The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate (Kiev). Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance....". Does this mean that our info won't be going to the National Visa Service Center and instead, directly to the consulate in Kiev? Anyway, I am so happy and excited - I want to call my fiance now but its 2:25 in Ukraine and I dont want to wake her, so instead I am telling all my friends here on VJ ! I know its only the first step but at least we're in process !! I wish everyone good luck with your journeys as well.

-September 05,2012 RFE sent and They received it on Sept.13th

Seems like there are different types of NOA2 letters. I read a lot about people saying their letter says "The petition has been forwarded to the listed consulate *blahblah*". Ours explicity says the petition is sent to the NVC, that it takes 2 to 4 weeks, that they will create a case record and then send it to the US Embassy.

Is it different letters for CSC and VSC?

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

Congratulations! I am waiting on mine to be approved. Today is 14 days from when they received my RFE back. So hoping my good news comes today. Congratulations, again.

I'm sure you will hear soon. I see you are working thru the VSC andUkraine consulate as well - we must be about on the same timeline and track. Maybe we can keep in touch and compare notes along the way, who knows, maybe we'll see you in Kiev !

Missed this yesterday... exciting times! Congratulations and best wishes to you both for the rest of the journey (F)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
