We got approved today at the Lagos Consulate of the American embassy Nigeria after a tough drill by an unsmiling Consular officer! The feeling is just indescribable! We were told that we need a new medical report though, and as soon as we submit those, then we are good to go. Apparently, the medicals we already had done in Cyprus a few months ago is no longer valid. Thank God and thank you VJ community. The Lagos consulate isn't so bad., the key is to make sure you know every and even the most insignificant detail about your fiancee/fiance if you are going through Lagos. If you have a genuine relationship with an American citizen, these guys will see it in ur responses and body language and you'll be fine. I can assure u today based on my experience, if you are involved in a fraudulent relationship for the sake of immigration purposes with a US citizen, Lagos is certainly no consulate for u to pass through. I will post a detailed review of my interview in the Nigerian portal shortly but first i gotta relax and celebrate this victory with my amazing fiancee. Thank you all again.
