What is the purpose of AOS Interview?

At the end of the interview will the immigration officer let us know if we are approved or not? Is it ok to ask if they dont tell us?

They adjudicate both the I-130 and I-485 at the interview. Yes, you can ask them if you are approved if they don't say, but if they didn't want to tell you, they might answer "we'll let you know." Verbal approval depends on different office policies and how high-ranking your particular IO is.

They are checking the validity of your marriage. You may be asked some questions about each other, your families, and your life together. We were told at the end that we were approved but that's not always a guarantee that you are told either way. Best of luck!
