Hello

I got married recently here in USA ( handed a K1 visa)

what is the next step , I check the *Guide Adjustament your status* , and It say: A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate along with English translation.

can I translate my birthcertificate?

is it necesary a oficial traductor ?

is it necesarry to get a official translate?

please , some advices :)

I went to Nevada department of motor vehicle on January 11th , I applied an identification card , they gave me a ID number , but the my card never arrived at home ... they told me : It take 10 working days to arrive to your home , but nothing happened, so what shall I do?

what is my next step ,

I will take my license driving test this week?

please advices about what office I need to go to GET A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER !!!!

Veronicaanalee,

If you are capable of translating it yourself, you can do so as long as you cartify that it is an accurate translation and you sign and state you are capable of translations from castellano.spanish into english.

We had an official translator in Peru to translate all my wife's spanish documents.

As for your driving test, I'm not sure about Nevada...but I think you will at least need a Learner's permit in hand.

For social security...visit this website: http://www.ssa.gov/ssnvisa/.

Best of luck,

Magnus

Scan the document into pdf format and utilize an online "Certified" service like www.foxtranslate.com and you should receive the translation within a day

If the OP is fluent in english and the other language then they can do it themselves. It doesn't need to be a professional but it's good to see this as an option.
