I came to the Philippines to fly back with my fiancee. She is taking her medical interview today. They are telling some of the girls for some reason they have to wait until after their NEXT period to be able to get their vaccinations.. I can't afford to take off an extra two week waiting on this. When many of the other girls are told they can get their vaccinations tomorrow. They are giving her no reason why the need to wait.

Can anyone tell me why there would be a reason to wait until after next period to get a vaccination?

I believe USEM only needs the medical results. She can come back after the interview to get her vaccinations. I not 100% on this. Ask St. luke's if you can go ahead with the interview and come back to get the vaccinations..?

As they state on the website:

Female applicants of child-bearing age cannot undergo medical examination during their menstrual period. Applicants who have their menstrual period should come back one week after the last day of their period.

Please be specific with the issues you have in the medical. When I had my medical exam, they had me go back after my NEXT period (if this is the monthly female visitor)for my Physical Examination not for the vaccination. Are your girls finished with the Physical Examination? Since the last thing to be completed for the Medical Exam is vaccination so I wonder why.

She is NOT on her period.. that is NOT the Problem.. They are saying since her period was two weeks ago that now she is ovulating and they won't give the vaccination because she could GET preg during ovulation. That is their reason for not giving them even though she has been using birth control pills for last two months

yes she has completed the exam.. They are saying they won't give the vaccination because she is ovulating and risk of getting preg.Although she has been on the pill last two month.

Are you currently in the Philippines? I am sure your fiancee was asked if she recently had sex :D - may sound funny but they do ask that. and if she said yes and she may already be in the ovulation stage, they don't want to take the risk of her possibility of being pregnant.

yes I am here in phil. She is on the pill so I do not understand there worry with her getting pregnant. Easy enough to do an ovulation test and they can see she is not ovulating. Just frustrated to get charged for the vaccinations here and not get them then in the USA have to get all vaccination even ones she has already had as a child again because she does not have proof. Not to mention they are much more expensive in the USA.

The docs here in the Philippines know the shots she had to have to go to school. But they will not give her any type of record to take to he USA.
