I am pooped! My dad's surprise bday party was a total success. He had no clue at all!!! We told him that we were invited to my aunts house for dinner. While my parents were driving there I called and told them I was lost and to meet me in the parking lot of our church which is were the party was. (we have a hall there). Even when he pulled into the lot and saw all the cars he still had no clue at all! He told my mom to get out an look for me so my mom had to walk around and pretend to look for me. He would not get out the car so my mom told him that she found me and I'm in the hall with the priest and that we were having a serious conversation and that they should go see what was going on. He finally got out of the car and went to the hall and he was shocked!

It was so much fun! My dad's best friend is a professional arabic DJ and he came and did his thing. He has a surprise for my dad which was so awesome. My dad is a professional Oud musician (arabic guitar) and the DJ used to be the drum player in their band. Well back in those days there were no digital music recordings. Well he managed to get some recordings of my dad playing with his band in various parties and digitally remastered them and played them during the party, it was soooo awesome!

The cake was great and so were all the desserts. When my dad turned 40, my had a surprise bday for him. Since my bday is only 8 days later she got a cake for both of us. It had a bellydancer doll on it and a Oud. I have a pic of me and my dad that day (I was 4) cutting the cake and blowing out the candles. I had the image put on the cake yesterday and it came out so cute!

But I am sooooooo tired! Everything is sore. However not only is today my dad's bday but its the 1 year anniversary of my engagement. (F)(L)

Yay JP I can't wait to see pictures. Congrats on your one year.

Hicham and I are going out to a movie and dinner tonight and will probably just hang around the house all day watching flavor of love.

OMG Sarah, I thought we were the only ones watching that goofy show on Sunday nights! lol Will it be Krazy or New York? too funny

Also is Celebrity Fit Club,,can't miss that either. But now we have the arab channels, that is on in the living room and VH1 is on in the bedroom.

If New York wins I'll just be so upset. I'm rooting for deelishis. They always show the new one for Sunday night on Sunday around noon which I don't understand but I already saw it! IT was a good one.

Oct 12, 2006 - Called to pick up visa tomorrow!

Oct. 16, 2006 VISA IN HAND!

Dec. 24, 2006 - Said arrives in NOLA, just in time for the holidaze!

Dec. 31, 2006 - OUR WEDDING!!! Ringing in a New Year as husband & wife!

Jan 8, 2007 - applied for SSN

Jan 15, 2007 - recieved SSN

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

Feb 8, 2007 - NOA1 on AOS/EAD/AP

Feb 14, 07 - touched EAD/AP

March 8, 07 - Biometrics appt in NOLA

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved
