Can't turn around without banging into a Mexican restaurant in my corner of the desert ... still it isn't my favorite. And for sure not the beans and rice, and I like rice.

Now Italian that perks my taste buds! Lucky for me its my co-pilots favorite also.

Wow Cool so Wednesday you will have you passport and Visa. Yahoooo!!!

Yes. last step is CFO and your done with the process in Philippines. Wow what a journey so far LOL!! :)

As for the flight buy long sleeve tops warm top and jeans pants, socks maybe sneakers or shoes(No flip Flops hahahaha!! and you know what I mean LOL!!!) you want your toes covered so the are warm. Jean Jacket over the long sleeve and you should be fine. If you are cold, throw the blanket over you and your daughter and snuggle up and watch movies or sleep.

LOL !!! The other thing my wife says is He is she and She is a He. Mixing up man and women. She will call a man she and women he. LOL!! ROTFL!!!

Yes I want to learn tagalog or the basics but it is hard. I just need to know the basics and when we move back to Philippines I will learn the rest. LOL!!

I will be sending her to English classes starting mid March. So when she does start working she can communicate much better than now. The way she speaks now is fine for me but in the work place in USA they don't play that. You have to know the English language in order to communicate properly.

You husband will be able to judge the English accent and level of English you and your daughter knows. She is still young. She will pick up the american English fast. You will also once you get going and working. LOL!!

As for packing. be careful and check with delta. You have a baggage weight limit per luggage. I think its 23KG. If you go over you will be charged and overage fee or you will be charge and extra baggage fee. Check with your fiancee and see what the restrictions are for check luggage and carry on luggage requirements.

You can also ship Balikbayan box to USA. I will search for the company information. I have that info at home. Whatever you don't need immediately you would put in the Balikbayan box and it takes 30 - 45 days to arrive in the USA to your address.

Yes you won't be able to work until you get your Green Card and EAD. This all happens when you file for AOS Adjustment of status. The most important thing once you arrive. Make sure to get married in 90 days or they will send you back to Philippines...!!

National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX examination) I believe is the course taken prior to actually taking the exam. I believe also you need to have completed nursing school in order to take the NCLEX examination. I not 100% on this subject. There might be some other VJ'ers that are more Knowledgeable in the area.

Yes Please keep us post and my wife says thank you and God Bless...

I am in Arizona trust me there is no shortage of real Mexican restaurants, still won't get me to put Mexico food on my "list". And I agree Italian food has to be made right or it sucks pond scum also.

Hi Wally,i called the USEM today to follow my visa, because when i called the other day,the guy told me that they will deliver our visa today.i waited till afternoon today but still nothing, what i did is i called again today, the lady said, the consulate just approved my visa today,i asked what approved,i have been approved Feb15.and she said the consul checks all documents even its been approved during interview.i was shocked, then i asked the lady if there's problem with my documents, she said its approved today.meaning its final!!!.So then i did ask her when they will print and deliver my visa, she said to call on Friday.she also checked my daughter's visa and its been printed Feb.27,they will deliver her visa together with my visa,i got mad today.i was excited they deliver our visa today.i really had no idea that even we got approved already, the consul still verifies all documents.the good thing is its finally approved today and ready for printing and deliver.Do you have an idea how long will it takes to print the visa? and the delivery? our flight is on march 18.im starting to worry again:( You think we'll receieve our visa before march 18?? thanks Wally.

The CO can review all documents even if they verbally approved you after the interview is completed. The good thing is that they will print you and your daughter's visa. Give it 5 days for delivery to your address. I would suggest calling 2GO everyday to check and see if they have received the visas and passports.

The OP is right never book the ticket until you have the visa and passports in hand.

OK now your flight is Sunday March 18th. The USEM to 2Go then delivered to you can take 5 - 10 business days. Even at the latest you receive your visa and passport on Thursday March 15th. You can still get the CFO done on the 16th. Yes that cutting it close but I think you should get it before then. If you see it has not delivered by the 16th.

Your fiancee will need to reschedule your flight. It will cost extra to change the flight dates. Again this is "worst case scenario". I believe you will get your visas and passports either by end of next week or earlier.

Like I said before you now have the official confirmation that your approved and visas are ready to be printed. Now it just need to go from USEM > 2GO > Delivered to you.

Keep calling 2GO and USEM. To see if it has left USEM and if 2GO has received them.

Also you can go now and take the CFO seminar. Get the seminar out of the way. Then come back to get the CFO stickers placed inside the passports. This is another option. Just save on time.
