sky701 did u try to call NVC ?? i feel next VB big jump

Hi NEO176,

Dude, my wife's PD is vary far away, It's Feb 09, 2011..But I know people with PD up to Jan 2011 have got the forms from the NVC..Still a long journey. But happy for everyone who is getting their interviews.

Someone asked the question how long does it take to get the gc after you land in the US?

I got my welcome notice in 2 weeks and the gc in another 2 weeks so in less than a month, I got my gc..Hope this helps..

SOme body told me that there is a new law and they will take 2 years. Is it true?

If you married to your spouse for less than 2 years than you will get a conditional gc which is valid for 2 years and then you will file an another form to get your permanent gc. But if you married to your spouse for more than 2 years at the time of I-130 filing then you will get a permanent gc...

Do not worry as the officer told you that everything is okay. I guess the administrative processing is becoming their standard practice nowadays.
