Hi Recardo, hope your doing fine.

I'm also agree with September 8th

I have one question , my husband green card validity expired in October 2011 and he applied for the new green card,he paid the required fees and went for finger print, they told him that he will receive the new green card via mail but after 4 months he still haven't received his new G/C, they have extended his G/C for more six months but no news of receiving the new one! do you have any experience that how long it will take to send the new G/C with new validity?

my PD is Oct 2009 and my concern is that I think I have to show my husband's new validity permanent card at the time of interview, what if he doesn't receive it by then?!!

thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry the delays as I have been traveling . The card / case is through the National Benefit Center and processing is said to be 3 1/2 months to process your case type. If at the time of your interview you do not have a photocopy of his green card you can take the receipt notice provided to him by USCIS. The receipt notice serves as a temp. evidence of residency proof. I say do not volunteer the information at the interview unless requested. Regarding the production of your husband's card i suggest contacting USCIS and have the issue researched or have a service request submitted.

There have been talks for sometime about trying to make families of LPRs (spouses and minor children) be classed as Immediate Relatives and be issued a IR visa or re-into the V-visa and allow them enter into the USA while their cases are pending . Since processing times (start -> finish) seems they immigration body does not see a need to have it restored. There have been many site created to petition the US Govt. for the Unite Families, Family Unification etc.

I personally have not heard of the recent news regarding re-classing the F2A people. Many Americans would say well it's a privilege of being a US Citizen but still the same spouse they hardly know. .. the finance they just met are being petitioned for. I'm with you on the stance for shorting the time it takes to process the F2A cases .. within a 1 year mark without delays.

sorry i have bad news 23 nov12 election day that mins oct.nov.dec.three month visa close or slow.

Thought the elections are in NOV..They want their vote banks to be filled by pleasing immigrant issues and giving GC ..So by the end of this FY yr there might be some relief for us..
