Unfortunately, the trend for faster processing is when the petitioning US citizen is also living overseas, not just when the applicant is abroad.

Good luck!

Yes I do live overseas with my wife and son in Indonesia. I even included copies of my Temporary resident card showing my expiration date in may and in the cover letter noted that my visa expires soon and explaining how my employer cheated tricked an shafted me ( my loss of a job ) and my mothers illness which she has medical refrences and documentation and recomendations for us to be there ASAP.

So with the Loss of work , living abroad with my wife , mothers medical issues. INsaAllah it will be done as the others are being done Ameen.!

if you mailed the packet from Indonesia, then it's really easy for USCIS to determine that you live overseas.

Since your Mom mailed it from inside the USA, I think will be some 'initial review' issue for determining where you are.

I pray that it gets into the 'filed from overseas' queue - which will take 30 days or less for the I-130 adjudication.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

well

did I include copies of my child's birth certificate / CRBA / Passport All showing issuance in Indonesia / Jakarta . as well as my Temporary residence card and police registration card and my civil registration card lol. ( you have to register with everything in Indonesia none of the depts work together ) and on my g325 and my wife's it shoes our current address as the Indonesian one. so it would be hard to say that i do not live in the USA. Another member Furbie he sent his to his family and had them mail it in as well and he was in and out of USCIS in like 8 days or something to the sort. and my short explanation on the i-130 cover letter clearly states that im living in Indonesia with my wife and 1 year old son and we want to get to the states to take care of my sick mom and that my temporary residence expires in may.

so yes i do belive i should have no problems being put into that category. and i do pray that Insaallah it will be in the overseas petitioning thingy lol .

My dad mailed mine from the US even though I am living abroad with my husband and our I-130 was approved in 10 days. I didn't send anything extra saying I'm living abroad, just my current address in Paraguay and my employer as "US Peace Corps". I think they will figure it out. Good luck!
