opened USCIS website and found out we have a RFE :(

USCIS: On January 23, 2012, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail.

I decided to open the USCIS site to check on our case since it was our 3rd month since last issue of NOA1...and found out we had Request for further evidence. Still waiting for the mail to know what other proof/evidence they need. I can't believe this is happening. I do know I sent all of what is required.. I even asked helped from friends who also were able to petition their fiance though they had no RFE's.. hope this won't delay the process more

From a variety of posts I have read here, once they get the requested documents back you should see your approval within a couple weeks.

Remember to send the RFE back with tracking and signature request just so you know they got it.

True? My Fiance and I are now focusing on our papers and wondering what evidence they need that got us the RFE. I will call USCIS later and ask for the evidence they need for us to comply. I do hope there will be no longer delays.. I'm hoping that she could already come here anytime around May this year. ^^

RFE: They asked for ongoing relationship from Oct 19,2009-Oct 14,2011. And affidavit from Family members/relatives/neighbors who have witnessed our relationship.

Hope our additional evidence will move up to the approval of our NOA2. I studied in the Philippines and met my fiance when we were in College. Our family as well are close to each other and we have the same group of friends in School. Will fly back to the Philippines in 2weeks and can gather a lot of required evidence when I go back. Be with us in our Journey, Lord!

First let me say sorry for the RFE. We are an October filer also. The good news is that they got to October and many others are waiting longer. Are you being handled at California- CSC or Vermont- VSC?

Lucky you are flying back soon, if you weren't you could write something up, email as a WORD/PDF file for them to print there and Fedex back. Interesting that they are asking for proof of ongoing relationship and not just proof of meeting within the past two years.

I called USCIS yesterday and told me to wait for my mail. and when I went out the house, the Mail was already there. lol only took 2 days after we received the Email regarding the RFE. try to call USCIS again and tell them you still haven't received the hard copy.

Yeah we were surprised that we already received Email from them after 3months.. though it was an RFE. Our service center is atVSC..

I do think they were not convinced with our Evidence since we only sent 1 pic. each yr from 2007-2011. although they need more evidence from our ongoing relationship from oct2009-2011(the day before he filed the petition). Will send back the required Evidences after I go back here from the Philippines. Will get a lot of evidence from my Fiance as well since She gathered all my letters and all other things she have during that time. Good thing the RFE arrived before I go back to the Philippines, gave me time to gather a lot of things:)
