Computer scammer Possibly

Phone rings, I answer and hear this guy who can barely speaks English on the other end. Says he is from my IP provider, saying my computer is sending them messages that I have the virus Win32, and its spamming them. Telling me that I can check for myself. He asked if I'm at my comp, and wants me to shut off the fire wall. I told him I'm busy with a baby so just tell what he wants me to do, I'll do it myself. (I'm fishing for what type of scam he is trying to pull) Nope he won't say, asks if he can call me later, nope I can get rid of this myself. HA Ha my computer is 105yrs old has already had the Win32 Trojan more then once thanks to my kids, i think I can handle things myself. He just kept on telling my my computer is at risk of damage and can crash at any time. Oh and another thing wouldn't my IP provider state their company name with their name as the first words out of their mouth. Ya I didn't bite this scam.

Was pretty interesting really, I can see how some ppl fall for it.

If he only saw my computer laying on its side with the case open a fan blowing on it, how it fell out of the moving truck after we lugged it down from Canada to Arkansas. The thing is like the Timex watches take a licking and keeps on ticking

Lol.... scammers are so creative... they always come up with new ways to scam ppl.

I was reading an article yesterday how some kids sites been putting malware on there and kids would download it unkowningly.

Oh ya Disney's website years ago would always cause problems.

My daughter like to draw and would go on deviant art and that's where she picked up the most virus.
