Kinda confused....does my fiancee have to have her previous married last name as well as her current maiden on her NBI and police clearance since she has an annulment??

Any help please.

Yes. And, any other names she used.

4. NBI CLEARANCE: Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name, married name, and any aliases or nicknames ever used, including different spellings of all names ever used. An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record”, "No pending criminal case” or “With derogatory record.” For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is considered valid only for one year from the date it is issued. You may contact NBI at (632) 523-82-31 to 38. The NBI website is http://www.nbi.gov.ph.

I disagree with the post that says she doesn't need the NBI in her previous married name. My wife was married before but never used the married name but we have it on good authority that the CO will want the NBI in 'all names' she has used. maiden, former married and current married.

It's $20 to get it now. You don't want to get to your interview and then get slapped with a 221g for something that can take weeks or a day to obtain.

I sent my wife back to get her's in her married name and she had a hit previously but was cleared 2 weeks later. This time she went there and didn't tell them or show them the old NBI that shows she was previously cleared and now she won't get her new NBI for 5 weeks. If this had came up during the interview and we are ready to fly home together, that kind of time line would suck and screw up everything, so it's definitely better to get it now, spend the $20 and have it than need it and not have it at the interview.

Our time line:

-----------

11-2-09 Met for the first time

11-3-09 Went to dinner to celebrate my birthday

1-1-10 Talked to her father on the phone queried about my intentions. Told him I intended to marry her.

10-8-10 2nd Trip back to Philippines

10-10-10 Proposed to her ... She said YES!

10-16-10 Meet her parents and family in the province for the first time

10-25-10 Returned to States

11-2010 Started her annulment process

1-4-11 Free to marry within the country

2-8-11 3rd trip to Philippines

2-10-11 Annulment process complete (can file for US visas now)

4-27-11 Got Married

5-30-11 Finally received marriage contract from priest

6-4-11 Discovered we needed to get an electronic endorsement of our marriage contract submitted

6-22-11 Finally got updated CENOMAR to show annulment of previous marriage

Have to agree, get the NBI in all names, especially if you were married before.

When in the process of a 129f Do we get clearance from the NBI? How long does it take? and how long is it good?

Thanks

Azarowicz

Nope. That is for after the petition is approved. For the interview in Manila, the NBI clearance is one a several official documents the beneficiary will have to get from the NBI and the NSO. See the guide for the US Embassy in Manila.
