Is this what it has come to now? 8 months for NOA2?

The has to be the pinnacle of USCIS's flawed system. :ranting:

I understand your frustration, my priority Date is: August 15,2011 and today is pass the predicted 5 months approval also. I call USCIS every Tuesday and tell them my case is outside the processing Time and the tell me its not, but call back in 3 weeks to see were they are in Application dates. Today they are still working on Applications filed on June 16, 2011, they've been working on this same date when I call them last week. Just be patient, Im trying my best too!!

Dont believe what they tell you when you call you. They have been telling people June 16th for over 4 months.Thats just ridiculous

I have to agree with this. How can they tell people they are on June 16th when they have people filing well after that date are approved? I think it's just script talk.

Matt

My guess is they will start saying July 16th in a few days. They probably don't update that processing date very often. Based on VJ member time lines and stats pulled by VJ member Paisaman, it would be safe to bet that they are currently working petitions from around July 13-15 or so.

It is obvious that CSC had a major slowdown the past few months on processing I-130 petitions. But, the good news is that it seems they have started to pick up the pace. According to the trend chart on the USCIS website they have really picked up the pace on processing I-130 petitions during the month of February in past years. So all you late July and August filers don't lose hope, your day is coming, just not as soon as we would like it to.

I do believe that figure, because I go to the USCIS webpage every day and check several random WACxxxx case numbers dated between May and June 1st. Cases I checked last November, dated in May, have not been touched. USCIS is heavily backlogged :(

USCIS is a federal government agency, that is why your Governor's office referred you to contact either USCIS directly or go through your Congressman. Your Congressman has an immigration liason in their office that can check on the status of your case. They will require you to fill out a form and send back to them that gives them authorization to check on your case. In most cases the immigration liason will contact USCIS and they will tell them that they are currently working on XX date and to check back in XX days. I would still suggest you contact one of your congressman even if it doesn't speed up your case.

Obviously this is just one of their speeches to make you leave them alone and not call anymore - but as we have seen lately, there are people with filing dates after June and July that have received their NOA2. Its a waiting game but I'm sure you'll hear something soon. And dont be in too much of a rush because NVC is not moving that fast either, unfortunately.

Oh no. Does this mean I will get my approval in May only since I am a Sep filer? I see that VSC is faster since there are some approvals for Aug and Sep. I wish mine was went to VSC instead of CSC. :(
