And to keep the optimism flowing, I don't care to a certain extent when I get approved as long as I'm not way out of the processing times. I am going to visit my fiancé on July 25 and return to the states on aug 8. The way I see it, if they don't approve me soon, I can save on shipping and hand deliver all my documents to my fiancé for the interview and have peace of mind knowing that they are safe in my hands and not have to worry about them being lost in the stupid mail! :)

Our K-1 Visa Journey

1/17/12: Mailed Original I129F packet via USPS with signature confirmation to Dallas Lockbox

1/19/12: Packet received at Dallas Lockbox

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

Talked to the USCIS today...just being curious and all, they told me that VSC is slightly behind...Today they are processing 1-3-2012.

So I guess the timeline should work in the next 10 days...Who knows... There are filers after me who just got approved but many before me without...Let's just leave it to lady luck and hope we all got it by EOM!!!

Yes. Interesting how they told another petitioner who called January 1st. It's the standard script to placate the customer inquiring. But anyway, 1 approval today so far. Better than nothing. but we need significantly more than that level of adjudication to make it out of June with most of us approved. Hopefully, that was just a warm up..

Seems they lost the box with the petitions dated around 1/18 ;)

Day 142 :(

Definitely. no activity on petitions received 1/18...There's about 14 I-129Fs in a group received on this date that are pretty quiet..Lack of consistency is so very frustrating. Roulette is not fun when it directly affects the people we care about...Still is the absolute craziest system I have ever seen. Just hoping they start getting to them before next week and we don't begin the slip beyond expected processing time..It will be very frustrating...can't believe this couldn't get done reliably in 5 months.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I can't breathe!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just finished working (I work online from home) and have been checking the USCIS site every hour or so....nothing in my email. So I decided to check the site once more even though my inbox is empty and sure enough--the updated date had CHANGED! It's 10 PM where I live...so I am guessing it is like 9 PM in CA...so strange! BUT Anyway after all of this the last few days, we ARE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! I am shaking so much I can barely type!!!! YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! There is hope for CSC! We are only slightly outside of the 5 month range...literally like a few days. Wow. And I cancelled that congressional stuff this morning..I really had a feeling on Friday when I faxed them that something would happen today before any action was taken and sure enough..........WOW. this is amazing. Now to figure out what's next...we have a lot of work to do!

Well, I am soooooooo happy and hope that the rest of you get the same great news really soon!!! Hang in there! It's so worth the wait and the stress--I think it makes it that much sweeter!!!!!!! Well, here we go on the ride of our lives......! I can't believe it!!!

Me too! And your NOA1 was one day after mine! My NOA1 was Jan. 9th and yours was Jan. 10th. So apparently they finally touched our box today!!! Congrats to both of us!!!!!!!!!

Yey! I felt that today would have been a great day once up! Not for me yet, but for all of you! That makes me happy!!! Congrats to all who got their NOA2, bet it is a great feeling!!!

Well, I'm off for a busy week (for a change) going back to Edinburgh with my mum (first time for her) so I'll be sightseeing, graduate on friday and if CSC wants to give me a gift, well I'll be more than happy to get it!! :)
