haha, unfortunately i could only take one week off work (next week), so i had to leave him in bed this morning and come stare at the internet in the office instead of at home! but yes, so great to see him - he's even gonna bring me my packed lunch that i forgot this morning! love that he's around to do these silly little things 'normal' couples can do!

That sucks. At least he is there though. The other half couldn't take ANY time off over Christmas and thanks to her job she only got two days off in total. Christmas, and the day afterwards. Didn't get to see her much to propose to her!

it was exactly the same way with us. He had to work and we only had weekends and one X MAS day and New Years Day... but not too long now

Well ours has not been touched since Jan. 12th...3 days after our NOA1 so I am contacting Congresspeople tomorrow morning...problem is that I saw on at least 2 websites that they require you to sign a statement for some privacy act before they will do anything...and I have no good way to mail that to them that won't take several weeks to arrive. Ugh. Wish I would have known that a few weeks ago and I would have sent it ahead of time! Haha.

I am going crazy with the waiting......5 months is this week for us so it's just not nice to see others right around our case number getting approvals and RFEs--I mean, if we are going to get an RFE, tell me already so I can take care of it! Some news would be better than this big pile of nothing for months on end!!!!!!!

Our petition wasn't touched since 3 days after it was received. And then we got the NOA2 without any further notices. Hang in there!

My fiance's been here nearly 2 months now and for the entire time he's been here I've only been able to take 2 days off of work. He goes home next week, but at least the next time I see him, it'll be for good The waiting definitely seems longer when I look at old timelines and see that many that filed October-December got their NOA2s in 4 months.

Our petition wasn't touched since 3 days after it was received. And then we got the NOA2 without any further notices. Hang in there!

Same here. No touches at all. Still not approved here but the petition before ours was and it had no touches either.

Yup we basically lost an entire month as January filers. It was very surprising..

how do you know that the petition before you had no touches?

I added it on my list every couple of weeks just to see. We were hoping it would give us early indication but no such luck

and really unfair.. some people already have their visas and they filed in December... I find it extremely frustrating... There should be the same "law" for all of us, unless the case is very difficult! Mine is easy, so are most of yours

A lot of recent complaints of USCIS (cali and vermont) holding approved petitions for long time to send them in batches NVC. VSC complaint was approved May 2, and Cali complaint was approved May 14... Guess another step to sit, wait, and see. Also, a few people were sent to NRC (national record center) for further backgrounds... guess this is a black hole waiting period. --- Offering the right nut now for quick xfer to kiev!!! The waiting never ends..

Exactly. I'm contacting my attorney today to get his opinion on some of the options with the Congressional inquiry. I have a close enough relationship with my Congressman (family friend) that maybe he'd even call them on behalf. I wonder what kind of level of service that would yield. I don't know if it would even help at all. But I'm looking to anything right now to just get this over with. I really don't want to be sitting around 3 weeks from now still wondering what's going on with NOA2..This process is horrible.

I think the only thing that would slow me down is the fact I had extremely high security clearance for some IT roles. Actually I would have thought that would expedite it...

I dont care when I get it as long as it is before 5 months mark. I'm so done...this is becoming so depressing...
