all this waiting really sucks life out of us

You just really have to make the best out of the time. Your lives don't stop. Fortunately, the weather was rainy and blah here this weekend, which made for the perfect excuse to start clearing out stuff to make room for when my fiancé arrives. The guestroom will become a "man cave" for him. :lol:

Today got already good news: the exam I had dreaded and thought I didn't do very well it actually came out I passed it!!! Dunno yet the grade but I doooooonnn't care!!! :dance:

I don't have a choice, fixed term. The contract might renew but ONLY if I become a permanent full time employee which would be bad.

Why would it e bad if you were full time employee ?

Entering into a contract under false pretences etc... plus I have to give them a minimum of 6 months if I become permanent... it's all... complicated.... I'm essentially making them aware of the situation and then seeing what the best way forward is, hopefully with a reduced notice period.

Awww sorry, different rules here although that probably depends on the contract. I only need to give them 1 month notice ! :)

Hopefully it doesn't mean you'll stay without a job before you have a visa in hand ...
