I have Sabi on facebook. She is in the USA and spent a few days in Florida.. I think they are now in New Mexico, so it was a successful POE for her! So happy for her! :)

Hey I have a question for anyone who did a small/courthouse wedding and are doing a bigger one later on - did you exchange rings at your first/legal wedding? Or just sign the papers?

I'm trying to figure out if we need to buy rings soon, or if we have a few months! (Legal wedding will be 01/01/13, as long as POE goes smoothly before Christmas, big wedding is 05/18/13)

I'm trying to figure out if we need to buy rings soon, or if we have a few months! (Legal wedding will be 01/01/13, as long as POE goes smoothly before Christmas, big wedding is 05/18/13)

we are getting just ordinary silver sterling rings for our official wedding (November 17) and then next year when we do the bigger one, we will get ourselves proper wedding bands :)

PS: Sabi's POE is TODAY!!! I wish her safe travels and happy POE!! :luv:

Yes I arrived to the US on November 1st, I was going through JFK but thankfully my flights were on time. I had my POE in Dublin and I can't imagine it being any easier... no questions , just smiles and wishing me a happy life! :)

Then we headed to Miami and Orlando and just last night we got HOME! :)

Congrats to everyone who got their visas, got to the USA or already got married! So happy for all of you guys! :)

We're planning on exchanging rings at the small/legal wedding in December, which will be attended by just a handful of people. And then in January, we're having the big party for a larger group of friends.

It varies from county to county...In Texas no rings, witnesses etc. are required just the two of you and somebody with license to marry :)

My fiancé was the same way! :lol: He waited until we were on Skype to carefully open the package. The infamous "do not open" package was clearly marked as such and his passport was sitting on top of it with a letter.

Super easy POE on Nov 12th !! It took about 30 minutes and rhey did not even look through my stuff !! My fiance was there waiting for me and it was a very sweet moment ! Wedding in 2 weeks !!! To all Jan fillers, I would like to thank you for keeping me sane during this journey !!
