Thanks Beth, I think Christmas would be awesome, but highly unlikely. Montreal is slow.. about 2 1/2 months to schedule an interview after packet 4. As this process has progressed so slowly we have been thinking about waiting until the end of the school year so it is easier on the kids. I might try and take them out of school early to give them an extended summer next year. We will make plans as we get past each step.

I'm just glad to be past this hurdle! :)

I believe I am the last January one on this thread!

Bummer. Sounds like here, though. We don't have packets really...just an email listing what we need to take to the interview. BUT that email with the date and info in it took a month to arrive after they had all of our paperwork at the embassy...and that date was another 2 months later...so we will finally have our interview 4 months after NOA2---one day before it expires!...so I feel you on that slowwwwwwnessssss! We have no control over scheduling anything...just send an email and hope that someday they respond. They have randomly responded to all of the emails I sent over the past month but it took them 2 months to do it! Haha. Sooooo depending on when you get your interview scheduled for, you could wait until June but yet if they schedule it faster, the 6 months you have to use the visa could be up before the end of the school year, right? Hmmmm...good luck with all that! And yes, it is awesome to be past that hurdle! And YAY for all January filers!!! We have come a longgggg way! :)

Already plan on speaking with their teachers in the New Year to see if I can pull them out of school early (beginning of May) and for them still to have their grade year. They are both smart kids, so it should be okay. My mom used to always pull us out of school a month early.

Otherwise, yeah plan B. We'll figure it all out! :)

hey everyone, i am a march filer and i have never posted in this thread, but now i just have to say: congratulations texas - i am soooo happy for you!!!!

i had been reading your thread since about june/july since that was when it got close to our initial estimated timeline and i wanted to keep up with everyone that was going to get their noa2 before us, of course also to find out how long it was still going to take for us to get.

we got approved on august 30 but i kept checking igor's list, mainly because i felt so sorry for texas and i was each day hoping to see an approval there! i am so happy for you now! wishing all of you all the best for the future!

hehe sure no prob but I am not quite sure where to start as everyone is now in a different stage... maybe we should wait until we start the AOS? till then we are still January filers :)

Looks like most of us are on facebook anyway at this stage, I think that's a better way of communicating :) If someone wants to stay in touch with us you can guys send us (pm) your FB link and join us in there! It would be much easier to stay in touch this way and update each other and agree for the meet up next year :)

That's just a suggestion :) as we know few of our VJ members moved to FB only now ;)
