I think we are all very ready for some approvals... I was hoping Sveta could be here for July 4th (she loves fireworks) and now I am just hoping the she will be here in September. This process is brutal. I just hope that the next two weeks are VERY good to most (if not all) of us. My last touch was 2/2/12 with a NOA1 of 1/30/12. I just hope before 5/30/12 it will be approved so I can hand deliver everything required to her on 7/1/12, that would give me 4 weeks to get everything else together!!!

I think we would all feel better if we knew what is exactly happening in the USCIS office and how exactly are those petitions divided and approved. i know Gary had an interview with someone from there but I still don't really believe it happens the way he described it... It's all like a roulette. Well we gotta hold on tight and wait for our turn. Worrying won't help... it's hard but this "little" waiting is nothing compared to the rest of our lives that we will get to spend together with our loved ones :)

I don't think there is a whole lot of stock in the "day" of your number... Think about it. ####### and Mary both work at USCIS Mary is quicker than ####### at getting through files. So say you are a Jan. 3rd person but #######'s box is not full they give you to him, but Mary has less complicated cases and she gets through them faster, so the Jan 23rd person goes to her and she gets to them faster... It is like picking a slot machine... only WE don't get to pick. A lot of late Decembers got approved before early ones. I had to stop playing with the numbers. It is driving me and my fiance mad and causing to much stress on our relationship. :bonk:

You are absolutely right about this. If you're a January filer, it could really be anytime now. It probably all comes down to your adjudicator now and a little luck. These last 2-3 weeks will be torture though..ha..because it's the anticipation that today could be the day every day and the lingering fear that you could be one of the unfortunate "misfit" petitions. Always seem to be a couple that deal with some ridiculous delay. Glad I have a good relationship with my Congressman (personal family friend)..alleviates some of the anxiety...but regardless it will just feel 100% better to have this NOA2 in the past.

And same thing with my fiance man. We were really hoping that we could enjoy the 4th together....I'll have to probably let that dream go now. At least there's a lifetime of summers ahead. Kiev has a pretty fast turn around time on interviews, so I'm still aiming for July...But. I'm thinking late July arrival now. or early August at the worst. Unless a miracle happens and this NOA2 pushes through this week or even next...But I guess just have to wait and see what happens.

Yeah, I agree. Just 6 weeks and I am going to see Sveta. I still have unfinished business with her family.. ahem... I agree with you all about the stress. It was starting to really wear on me after awhile, and the stress was too much. My fiance and I were constantly checking USCIS, VJ, etc. and it was starting to drive us crazy! We started to fight more often and finally he told me that we should just stop looking at it, that it will come when it comes. But now that I know it is going to be in the next few weeks or a month or so, I start thinking about it more and more! I never, ever check the USCIS website - ONLY VJ - to eliminate the amount of stress that I would feel otherwise. I think once I see people from January 15/16 from CSC getting approved, I'll start checking USCIS but I know that obsessing over it won't make the people work faster... so I just needed to take a deep breath and keep living my daily life. We found a new apartment, we did things for the wedding, I'm crafting some things for our house in the US, etc. My mom asks about it constantly and I always say, "I know nothing" but I think she thinks that I will the next day that I talk to her.

I hear you! it drives me a bit nuts when people ask me if I heard anything. I know they mean well but hey if I heard anything at all, the whole world will know so no need to ask :P Every question about the process reminds me of the wait and is not making me feel any better...

Ha! Yes! I only talk to my Mom on Skype like once a week, and she asks me if they have sent me an email, if they have called me, if they have updated me about our case. She doesn't know almost ANYTHING about the process -- even after I have explained it to her a billion times, she can't seem to catch on that it takes time, that I can't make them process mine NOW. Since I live overseas, at the end of every conversation, she says, "I want you home!" She really tries to guilt trip me with that!

well that definitely doesn't help... My friends are the same and I hear the same question every day over and over again...I guess we are lucky we have people here who understand us 100% :)it's a good feeling when you don't have to explain cause they already know how you feel :)

haha. agreed bro. I told Julia the same thing. If anything goes wrong, I'm moving to Dnepropetrovsk haha. She's living in her home village now. But we'd live in that city if anything went wrong. I'd probably teach English and work my current job remotely. Home is definitely where the heart is.

wish i could close my eyes and wake up when it's all over. or in 3 weeks, when fiance gets to london for a two week visit! although, as excited as i am to see him, and as desperate as i am to hold him, i hate that it just means another goodbye - our 25th or so! i'm particularly scarred by the last one - we'd spent six months together (i did 3 month visit, home for a few weeks, got let back in for another 3 months) and i swear i couldn't speak or move for the last few days.. when i think about how paralysing that goodbye was, it makes me not even want to see him until we won't have to say goodbye again. crazy, i know.

but he IS coming, soon, and i know i'm very lucky for that. but yeah, finding this stretch very very tough, so completely with you, photomile et al.

We had a plan for him to visit me in Ireland if we are not approved by the end of May but I am scared of those goodbyes too. We were so happy last time when he was here and that was to be our last goodbye and I am not sure if I want to go through it again. We survived the past 3 months not seeing each other, we might as well do another 3... It's really hard to tell what's better right now... All I want to know is that we are approved, doesn't matter I see him in 2 or 3 months, I just want to know when to look forward to that day instead of being kept in the dark...

But yes you are lucky!
