went to get police certificate today. it was my worst experience. i had to wait a full 10 hours to get it done. sighhh tiredd :clock: got processed any way and should be ready to pick up in a about a week

Sounds like our experience...we went down to the capital last Friday (4-5 hour bus ride) and had no problems paying for it or anything but then we went back to the bus station thinking that the next bus was leaving in about a half hour. NO. There was a strike and roadblock (that we had passed on our way south but with no problems...) that was blocking the highway coming north. So we sat in the bus station (since it is in an area of town with NOTHING to do around it...not even one fast food place or mall or anything!) for 4 hours while they kept telling us we were going to leave. Finally got home at 10 pm. I was supposed to work at 9 pm (it's over the internet). So that was a great day. So now I get to go back alone tomorrow to pick up the silly thing...so another whole day in the bus just to pick up one piece of paper!!! Ahhhh. But with this, we should be totally ready for the interview......Thinking about buying tickets soon like Kate did....last minute ones from here are so outrageous that it's worth the risk since we also want to travel within 2 weeks of the interview date....!

Well, I don't see any good news on here :( Hoping to see some when I get back tomorrow!!!

We are doing a courthouse 'wedding' when we arrive (I just want to sign the papers lol) and then in April is our "real wedding" with ceremony, reception and everything else. So we have to plan that!!

Texas this really sucks big time, it is so unfair, you really do deserve a break if it does not get approved today then it JUST HAS TO BE your week next week. Just so you know it took them from May7th to July 2nd for them to turn our RFE into a NOA2. Stay strong, we are all feeling your pain and rooting for you, soon this part will be a distant memory, i promise!!rose.gif

Thanks Sabi and Neetz and everyone else on this thread and VJ... :) And I'm so lucky to have my fiance, he keeps boosting me up and cheering me up, even though I know the wait is killing him too... he is being strong (for me). (L)

Sabi, feel better girl, get plenty of rest today.

Neetz, thanks for reminding me of your RFE timeline, it actually makes me feel better. :)

I guess they have until Sept 18 before the 60 days is up... but when I see others with Feb NOA1s and August RFE's and already NOA2's, I guess I start feeling despair.

hey honey, try voltarol gel, i had a knee injury in 2010 and that + rest, rest and more rest is the only thing that helped! seriously do not push it with a knee injury, i ended up signed off work for 2 months (mostly because i was working for BA, it happened at work, and they were so scared i'd come after them through my union!) but if i'd just rested it when it first happened, would have been a lot less awful!

and kimberley (texas), everyone is wishing you hear something any minute!!! you're the new sabi ;) you've got the will of the world behind you!

yeah I stayed home today to rest the knee... I got a lotion called Diclac and I am icing it too...A bit hard for me to stay inactive but lucky enough there is you tube and the low impact upper body exercises you can do in your bed :)

anyone been affected by hurricane isaac yet? i'm supposed to be flying to new orleans on wednesday... exactly when isaac is meant to reach south east louisiana... i'm guessing my flight will be cancelled and i'll get stuck in atlanta for the night if that trajectory proves to be accurate. :crying:

any floridians here? stay safe everyone!
