It helps to focus on getting your NOA2 paperwork finished for the embassies. People ask me all the time about my visa. I tell them nothing yet and it doesn't matter if it's approved or not because I don't have the paperwork ready to move on to the next step. That will be done this week! :)

Here's a question for you....

"Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F)."

Would you use that exact same letter you used in the I-129F packet, or change it up a bit?

Thanks.

I have the initial letter of intent as a Word doc, so I will just change the date, print off a new copy, sign it and be done.

Hi everyone, I'm happy we are all getting close.

I am also looking at what to prepare when the NOA2 arrives, the only one that I'm confused with is this one...

" Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy. "

Thanks LeftCoastLady and RayandMelissa! I think I'll do the same! And I will go ahead and have my friend notarize it before her stamp expires. I lucked out on that one! Considering it's a $1.00/page at most places. Saved a few bucks there. Also, does anyone know if anything else for the NOA2 needs to be notarized besides the letter of intent? One last question about the I-134... How did you figure your yearly income? That's stupid I know but should I just put what my 2011 taxes show? I won't be making that much this year because I dropped to part time for school, but intend to go full time as soon as a full time position opens up (which should be soon) and I am working full time hours right now during summer and will continue to work full time hours after school starts as I'll only be taking 2 classes, but again... my status at work has not "officially" been changed to full time... My parents are going to be co-sponsors...

The letter of intent doesn't have to be notarized.

On your yearly income, yes, you can use what was on your income tax return for last year.

Hello! I think this means like your boarding passes and all the proof that you made copies of, also the forms. I made 3 exact copies of my entire packet. One for me, one for my fiance and one to send off. I didn't send the "original" boarding passes etc with the packet for fear of them being lost, so I think this means to send the actual boarding passes and whatever else you sent as proof of meeting. He already has his copy of our packet. I placed all of the evidence we used in the packet in a huge envelope and kept it all together, so I will just be sending that along with the affadavit of support and its supporting docs (tax transcripts, letter from employer), letter of intent and proof of ongoing relationship (more pictures, boarding passes, cards and engagement ring receipt)

Oh ok, thanks a lot for your detailed response.

And with regards to your letter of intent, I don't think it needs to be notarized.

You're welcome! I love this site, I couldn't have put my packet together without it, but one of the things I HATE is the lack of detail in the guide! I like things to be specific because the information can be interpreted in so many different ways. Just like that yearly income spot on the I-134. There's different ways to calculate it. I hate that the government's instructions for those forms are very vague as well. I'm a detailed person and I like examples and details lol.

Oh yeah, me too, I need very specific instructions. LOL but this site is waayyy better than the USCIS website, I'm so happy we found this website because it really helped with putting all the documents needed for the I-129f. Plus you get all these updates and support too. Good luck to you wdm1986!

Thanks! Good luck to you as well! Hopefully we will all be hearing some good news very soon. Btw, I don't know if you know this or not, but you can order your tax transcripts by phone at: 1-800-908-9946 or online at: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=232168,00.html it's free. I ordered mine on a friday afternoon and received them that next saturday. It was quick! But it does take a week, so if you need those, order em ASAP! ;)

It seems I'm full of questions tonight... lol... umm.. I work at a hospital so where it asks for your employment information on #7.: I am employed as or engaged in __(type of business)___ with ___(name of concern)___

Would I put the name of my hospital in the first blank and then the department I work in in the 2nd blank, or would I put my position in the first blank and department in the 2nd blank? For example:

Vermont Hospital with Emergency Department or LPN with Emergency Department?
