also, i think fb is probably the way forward for me.. i can imagine i'm gonna want to take a proper break from VJ once i'm in the US (two weeks today!), and just enjoy being a fiancee/wife, not a 'visa applicant' for a while... plus AOS seems pretty easy, and i've had bloody long enough to research it in the last 7 months! but of course i won't be able to resist checking back and helping out any uk peeps where i can (not that my knowledge is particularly extensive, i'll stick to the easy q's!!). but if you wanna be fb friends, send me a message - i'd love to stay in touch with the jan gang. plus of course i'm gonna want to EVERYONE'S wedding pics... and for those of you still waiting, it's gonna all happen so fast, so soon. strength and love to you x

Oh goodie I might have to ask you about the medical side of things then!

In all seriousness, I know what you mean. Getting this journey 'over with' is finally a reality. We've all waited far too long and I haven't seen my other half since January 3rd.

The only thing that's nagging me right now is the change of address but it looks fairly easy now. Hopefully deliveries will begin soon!

LOL, I was on there for a while and I *hated* it! Possibly because I didn't actually know anyone on it. I gave it a month or two and then just deleted it! :P

Photomile, I ended up not having to mention anything about new address of my fiance since he hasnt signed a contract yet and he is officially at the same address till end of september. I had posted my question on the UK forum and I understood I didn't have to do anything.

But Im still confused as when I'll be travelling he will have moved to the new flat... is it really that important telling them? Or can it be done once we AOS?

or is it not what you meant?

P.S. I'm on fb too, whoever wants to add me private message me on here - as kitty says it'd be cool to have all of you in one place :)

I think we're in the same boat. L is at one address, and we've put a deposit down on an apartment, but we don't sign any lease or contract until September 6th. I'll be arriving September 5th.

Officially, You have to tell the USCIS that you've changed address within 10 days. You can do this using an AR-11. Since I'll already be in the country when the move happens, that seems to be what I need to do. ..

#######, now I think about this I wonder if it'll affect my SSN application. Hm,

Hey guys, i haven't been reading for a few days (busy work schedule)

Congrats to everyone! :) It's finally coming to the end!

My fiancee sent me all his tax info, pay stubs... everything that is needed from him for interview and guess what. Its been 13 days and package hasnt come yet.

We assume it got stolen since he noticed somebody was using his card to buy multiple tickets from RYANAIR in irealnd for $1000 (bank already blocked the transactions)

Great, now somebody knows everything - his ssn, name, address, job offer, taxes, pay stubs... everything!

Ugh :(

He is just about to resend me a new package since my interview is in 3 weeks from now... Our noa2 was there too. Soooo pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh hell that's terrible!

Get him on the line to the big three credit records companies and see if the can do anything to help prevent against identity theft, even if it's just a credit report!

Who did you send it with?

But for USCIS our K1 application is concluded, I'd guess ... so I dont' see why we have to inform them. I'd say it'd be the case if we were still waiting for NOA2 or GC if we were in the AOS process.

I don't think we are obliged to tell them about change of address if it happens after K1 VISA being issued.. I would just file AOS with new address, cos in theory that opens a new file, where they'll see from the forms his previous address..

I might be wrong tho... anyone has any advice?

Yeah he just wasn't thinking! I always have to remind him thi little things like don't forget this and that.

So he forgot to ask for the service that allows you to track.

We have a noa 2 scanned but if they need an original we will pay no big deal.

What worries us is that somebody know everything about our financial situation, addresses.., it is terrible :(

Guys do you have an idea what should we do in order to make sure his identity is not stolen?

So far he just got new debit and credit cards. The old ones were cancelled
