Sabi and Vosnmars looks like we've arrived! Just got off the phone checking on my lunch break. Heck of a long wait on hold. But case has arrived. Number to be assigned shortly. I'll try calling again later tonight and try to get my number. I would imagine they'll have it by tomorrow.

Excellent! I've been kind of waiting until this afternoon to call, but glad to know it arrived  Thanks for the heads up!

the NOA1 doesnt really matter, its the approval notice that is important. i dont know how you can get it back but maybe he can check his emails for the first email/text that was sent to him (if he had signed up for it).

Hey guys just an update.

We went to our congressman's office and spoke to the lady handling our case. She spoke to Vermont this morning (she calls them weekly on the congressional line). They told her the same thing again... they have received our evidence on July 18th. (Well we already know that).

Here is what I learned that I did not know. Apparently when the case is initially looked at, they have initial reviewers that look for mistakes etc... for RFE's. At this point, it isn't even with an adjudicator. Then once the RFE evidence is returned, they assign it to an adjudicator.

Our file is still waiting to be assigned to an adjudicator.:(

This system is so unfair. :(

Thanks Kelso - I hope so too! It can't be much longer...

I hope we can be adjudicated before all of new cases for deferred action for childhood arrivals kicks in. Our congressman's immigration specialist says Vermont will get a huge chunk of those applications...

Maybe he could try calling USCIS to see if he can get it that way? Normally when you call you have to give them the receipt number, but if he explains the situation maybe they can give it to him. I would expect to answer a lot of other questions to verify his identity. That is what I would do, but I'm only guessing.

Hey look its 9pm and I can't sleep. There's a surprise!

Thanks for all the wellwishes guys. I need them!

I wish you the best of luck and that everything goes smoothly for you. good.gif

Interesting about the initial reviewers. Its disappointing to see your case delayed like this. sad.gif At least the congressman's office is helping to keep tabs on it. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

****

Also, I did manage to get my case number today so that's cool. They couldn't tell me when it would be sent out, but I'll check that DHL tracker thing and see if I notice it. Not sure what I can do now without instructions from the Embassy. Kuwait isn't exactly an active country on VJ so I have very little guidance on how things work there. bummer
