Yes. haha. I need another vacation to get my mind of this NOA2...I honestly didn't think about it for 2 weeks when I was in Dominican. It was a great feeling...now it's the bane of my existence...Seems like today was a RFE kind of day...Better luck tomorrow I guess.. I would be surprised if I heard anything tonight. I think it's safe to say beyond the sticky threads we are one of the biggest if not the Biggest thread to ever grace these forums. ha.

I know what you mean.. I am so happy to have sth to count down to...4 more weeks and Terry comes to visit me and we are going to my hometown (Krakow) so I am super excited about showing him around! I am hoping we will be approved by then though ! oh well, you never know with USCIS... have you seen that guy from December?? and someone waiting 17 months? grrrrr I have to stop reading those stories....

I would love to if I ever receive this letter. Thats just a copy someone sent to me so I could read it.

Does this letter have a formal name, something I can ask specifically about?

When I call NVC and ask, try to describe it they act like they have no idea what this is.

What do you mean a copy someone sent you?! Wasn't the name and the address of NVC (United States Department of State-National Visa Center) typed in blue on the envelope? It is a single page letter. It may not have the official-appearance of the NOA1 and NOA2, but I am sure this is the letter you are looking for. I don't know what they want for police records (since there is no such a thing in my fiancee's country), but I am sure this letter is what they want. At least, it has ALL the necessary information on it: Your name and address, beneficiary's name, your USCIS receipt number, your DOS case number, the address of the consulate and the fact that the petition has been approved. I think you are fine ;)

he got this copy from a "friend" so he can quote it and see how it looks like. He didn't get it in a post from NVC, he is trying to get it in order to obtain a police cert...

Someone on VJ sent me a copy just so I could see it. I have not received my letter yet. But I did get the case number on the phone.

I'm trying to figure out how I can go about asking for this letter or a PDF of the letter sent to my email so I can get things moving.

When I called the NVC to inquire, they say WHAT LETTER??? Frustrating...

When did the NVC send out your papers to the embassy? We received (well, at my US address [even though I received the NOA2 at my Honduran address but ok, whatever... lol]) the NVC letter one week after they sent our documents to the embassy. It should come in the mail. When it does, scan it into your computer and just convert it into a PDF (PDF converter -- you can DL them for free).

I am hoping we will be approved by then though ! oh well, you never know with USCIS... have you seen that guy from December?? and someone waiting 17 months? grrrrr I have to stop reading those stories....

ahh. awesome. yes. it's always great to have something to look forward to and help with passing the time. Very cool. I didn't realize you were originally from Poland. Not far from Ukraine at all. Just around the corner ha. Those extreme cases are scary. Definitely can keep you up at night thinking about them. I guess even though they are still stuck on 1/16, it's better than them being far beyond that date...and us still sitting here with no answers ..But hopefully it's not much longer...I hope we can safely say now that August is our month

Scanning to PDF is not a problem, I can do it at work. This is some journey all right... wow.

another 1/18 approved today...Close to mine...But still not me :bonk:...at least there's some activity around my petition. and it was an approval  So about half the petitions in my group have had some action taken on them. Half are untouched. And it seems about half of all the petitions received in January are approved. Guess it's all really a numbers game.

I am really sorry for not understanding your initial post :bonk: I guess my fiancee is right! I can't concentrate on two things at the same time:( I shouldn't check VJ from work :bonk: sorry for all the misunderstanding :(

You will get that letter, as kate&javi mentioned, it arrives about a week after the embassy receiving your application. You are not impatient and it is completely natural if you want to do the rest of the paperwork sooner and be ready and prepared for your interview ;) after all we are all the same and completely understand the feeling of being apart for this long :(

again, I am REALLY sorry for my misunderstanding :(

I WAS APPROVED!!!!!! They approved a 129-F today. My NOA1 was Jan 23rd.

You have all been so informative. Sabi, I am pulling for you. I hope you get it done soon.

What is this electronic packet 3 everyone is talking about?

I was thinking, now i call NVC constantly. Get a number, have ben go get his medical done

somehow i get a letter telling me a link to packet 3, i then call NVC give them my mastercard for the affidavit of support

but, does Packet 3 go to the UK embassy or NVC?

Thank you all for your help, I will be thinking about all of you.
