Looks like we had some approvals come through today. 3 VJ users with petitions at VSC had good news. Now hope the trend can continue. Will be interesting to see what the numbers reveal for any non-VJ associated timelines...The start of improved adjudication trends I hope..we shall see.

February filer here hoping for good news soon (and especially fair & timely adjudication: they really should be cranking out the January stragglers before going anywhere near February...<sigh>) for all of us!

So, I got inspired by sabi's receipt # monitoring system and am now monitoring a group of receipt #s for petitions received the same day as mine (Feb. 21). I remember sabi saying that, when assembling the group, only every 10th receipt # was checked because the I-129Fs tend to occur in groups. I thought you might find my data helpful as to whether or not this is true.

So far, I've individually checked 5,581 receipt #s (I do some most days, so it's not as mind-numbing as it sounds) and found 213 I-129F petitions. Of these, 46.7% were in clusters of 10 or larger, and 53.3% were in clusters smaller than 10. Of course, even with a cluster smaller than the sampling interval, you'd still have a pretty decent chance of hitting an I-129F: 88.7% of them were in clusters of 5 or more. So, by checking every 10th receipt #, if my data are representative, you would find (roughly) between 46.7% (only 10+ clusters) and 88.7% (assuming you managed to find all of the 5+ clusters) of the total petitions.

Considering there are well over 200 (still counting) petitions from a single day in February, there are probably way more than 500 for January, and thus possibly more movement than it looks like right now! (Fingers crossed!)

Feb. 4, 2013: AOS packet sent (delivered 2/6, NOA1 text/email & check cashed 2/11 midnight)

Feb. 11, 2013: NOA1 notice date for I-485, EAD, AP (I-485/EAD NOA1 hard copies & biometrics appt letter arrived 2/16, badly mangled AP NOA1 arrived 2/27; biometrics done 3/4/13)

Apr. 3, 2013: EAD & AP approved (received card 4/11)

Aug. 16, 2013: I-485 approved & green card production ordered!!!! (card arrived 8/26/13) (193 days)

2015 sometime? I've slept since then.

Naturalization

Dec. 20, 2019: N-400 submitted online (Boston, MA field office)

Jan. 9, 2020: Biometrics

Feb. 4, 2020: updated wait time = 4 months (estimated case completion June 2020)

Aug. 7, 2020: interview scheduled (!), but no idea when

Sept. 16, 2020: interview, Boston (approved)

Sept. 24, 2020: oath ceremony, Boston---DONE!!! (279 days from submission)

yeah well this was to be a rough idea of what is happening there :) I know we are missing a lot of numbers and no one should ever assume that if I say there were no movements, that actually means there were none on that day. By no movements I mean none on my list. I was going by 10 because after going 1-3 USCIS blocked my IP and I wanted to avoid that...I just typed too many numbers in a day haha!

There were 2658 petitions received by VSC in January so I doubt there are 500 a day. In February 2010 petitions received :)

All this was just for the purpose of making people feel better (sometimes worse) and to see that there is more happening than meets the VJ eye :) It wasn't done for any statistics or accuracy but just to give others some hope :) But yeah you are absolutely right, things are happening and people are being approved, just very slowly ;)

Good luck to you too... since USCIS moved to February already you might be lucky soon! All the best :thumbs:

I would assume people bring more than that to the interview no? I know in Dublin they don't ask for much either but I am going to bring everything I have to be safe rather than sorry after...

Thank you all for all the love you been showing to us.....and for all those peeps left out there, i know how you all feel. im just hoping we all get through this week and make it to the NVC the same time. Im super exited right now. I was about to eat and i dont feel hungry any more.

I was expecting and RFE for the Birth Certificate so it was really unbelievable

hopefully djricky, hopefully! it must be an amazing feeling... I can't wait to see the blue circle shipped from left to right but I know it will happen eventually! well enjoy! it must feel almost like a victory! :)
