seriously, I can't wait for those peaceful evenings and weekends after we are approved! the past 6 months have been some sort of a nightmare! I can't wait to breath again!

same here. It's all so close. I just don't want to miss out on NVC while it's processing at a decent speed. It's like we just kept missing the luck..The void in middle of January that pushed most of us into the 180s. and then there's the potential for NVC to slow down in August..Just need to get out of VSC. Wish they would set us free.

said i was gonna have my fiancee call the congressman by mid day today if we dont get approved. im here thinking if its still a good idea. we put in a request 3 weeks now and the person working our case was out all last week and return today.....wondering what we should do???? :help:

I would give them a call. Maybe it could get you through by midweek if your petition is not high up in the pile and about to be worked on. And if it's about to be approved it certainly won't hurt the situation. Just might save you some time if you're petition isn't where it should be right now.

I have the same dilemma ... don't know whether we should ask the senator for help or just wait few more days... I think we will wait. I got a feeling it is coming!!! I don't want to slow it down by getting the file to be taken from someone who might be working on it as we speak... I guess if we don't hear by Wednesday we will take further action...

Just be certain that the Senator's office is ready to act on Wednesday. Sometimes there can be a time delay. Maybe you could put them on standby or something? Would be great if we just could all celebrate tonight :) Getting close to that approval time 1-5 pm seems to be the approval hours lately. And of course some trickling in at night.

Yeah, I know I know, I'm reaching wherever I can to make some sense. I'm an over-organizer, which also means I tend to over-analyze! Maybe VSC asked them not to update to the most current otherwise people would catch a glimpse of what's really going on

Hoping y'all get some NOA2s this week. Those Feb VSC folks will take solace in the posts of courage and levity here when it gets farther down the line.

As a Feb VSC filer reading the posts here have helped to put some perspective on the process. That it simply is what it is. You would think that they wouldn't want to be handing out so many RFEs as it just adds more paper they have to eye ball. Still keeping my fingers crossed for lots of approvals for you guys so that they can get on to February already.

Yes Terry will post them all the forms today and then if we hear nothing by Wednesday, he will call them :) that way they should have everything in a post by then :)

I just received my “request for evidence” letter (I-797) from USCIS. Good golly, what an idiot I am. Here’s the problem: on page three of the I-129f petition they ask if you’ve ever been convicted of various things, spouse abuse, violent offenses, drugs, and such. Check yes or no, and sign it. SIGN IT, you idiot!!!!!! I guess I could whine about why it should take 6 months for them to detect am omitted signature, but I’m too dumb to have any right to complain. My signature is now on its way to Vermont via super-express mail.

Thanks... Lidia and my son are sleeping now... Somehow, my son fell asleep right away on the plane to ukraine, and now he has reverse jet lag... as if we traveled west instead of east. So after my son had me up well before dawn monday, after interview, I slept, now they sleep. Suppose to be champaign later, but i have a feeling it will be tomorrow.

Congrats guys!!! :)

I can't get out of here before sept 28 since my work contract is up on 9/21 and then i need a week to take care of some stuff...

However we were apart for 2 years and have been able to survive as a couple, 2 more months apart won't change anything :)

Once again, its awesome! When's the wedding? :)

Hmm, found something interesting. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this yet. I have the habit of checking the processing times each time I check on my petition status (I was hoping they'd update the status once they got my response to RFE, at least letting me know they're no longer holding the petition in suspension. No change yet).

I129F -> K1/K2 -> Vermont Service Center:

USCIS National Goal: 5.0 Month(s)

USCIS National Average: 7.2 Month(s)

Vermont Service Center: 5.0 Month(s)

Effective as of May 31, 2012

Erm....what? Okay, so the National Average is longer, even compensating for the CSC quickness VSC could potentially slow it down to 7.2, but VSC is still on 5 months?

Talk about inconsistent! Checked it for CSC, and that's also listed for 5.0 months. The only one that actually changed the graph layout was TSC, which shows 15.5 months (they stopped processing K1's, right?). Still, the math don't add up: 5 + 5 + 15.5 / 3 = 8.5

No idea why I'm trying to make sense of this anyway.

nice math :D you're absolutely right ;) the reported processing times are just useless...they are just numbers to keep their statistics look good !
