January I-129F filers

Hmm, found something interesting. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this yet. I have the habit of checking the processing times each time I check on my petition status (I was hoping they'd update the status once they got my response to RFE, at least letting me know they're no longer holding the petition in suspension. No change yet).

I129F -> K1/K2 -> Vermont Service Center:

USCIS National Goal: 5.0 Month(s)

USCIS National Average: 7.2 Month(s)

Vermont Service Center: 5.0 Month(s)

Effective as of May 31, 2012

Erm....what? Okay, so the National Average is longer, even compensating for the CSC quickness VSC could potentially slow it down to 7.2, but VSC is still on 5 months?

Talk about inconsistent! Checked it for CSC, and that's also listed for 5.0 months. The only one that actually changed the graph layout was TSC, which shows 15.5 months (they stopped processing K1's, right?). Still, the math don't add up: 5 + 5 + 15.5 / 3 = 8.5

No idea why I'm trying to make sense of this anyway.

Yup, seems like they blasting RFEs, i hope we both get approved today.......then we gonna look at it and be like....dam, im really excited considering how they were dishing RFEs around us

I feel bad for most of these peeps still cause this is just going to add a month or so to their processing time

Yes. Hopefully they'll be ready to just be finished with these January petitions. More RFEs, more work later for them...Approvals is what they need.

yeah I have noticed that but it is so random that I just can't be bothered with trying to figure them out! They know they are above the processing time but for whatever reason they just won't admit... and this update , even though it was done in July, looks like it is based on whatever was happening in May

the RFEs give them time to move on to others but they definitely slow up the process. im sure they getting a lot of Replys this morning from the ones they sent out last week. just hoping for today to be our day, we have endure a lot.

Yeah, I know I know, I'm reaching wherever I can to make some sense. I'm an over-organizer, which also means I tend to over-analyze! Maybe VSC asked them not to update to the most current otherwise people would catch a glimpse of what's really going on

Hoping y'all get some NOA2s this week. Those Feb VSC folks will take solace in the posts of courage and levity here when it gets farther down the line.

Well, the NVC has already received and forward my case to London as of Friday, so Vermont is at least moving much faster after the approval . It took about a week after the NOA2 to get it to the NVC and for it to be forwarded.

That's great news Knope! Just need these NOA2s for the remaining January filers now. Wish they would shift those resources back to K1s..Still seems like we're just crawling along. Maybe today the change will begin. Congrats!!

Wow, things are moving really quickly now! I really wish I could do the paperwork for this whole process myself, I'd go ahead and send the forms today I gave my fiance all the instructions though and he will be filling everything out when he prints them tomorrow.

A petition for 1/18 that was RFE on 7/2 is now finally at RFE Review 7/23..yikes that took a while..only activity around my petition so far..

seriously, I can't wait for those peaceful evenings and weekends after we are approved! the past 6 months have been some sort of a nightmare! I can't wait to breath again!

said i was gonna have my fiancee call the congressman by mid day today if we dont get approved. im here thinking if its still a good idea. we put in a request 3 weeks now and the person working our case was out all last week and return today.....wondering what we should do????
