Congrats Rui&Kate and Mrjohnblack!

Omg I can't believe all those RFEs! They ARE just stamping them out over the stupidest things that don't really matter I bet just so they can delay the process and buy themselves more time. Just like the "passport photos being too big" really? I don't think so... They don't even use those for anything I don't think except to put a face with a name.... London embassy requires another set of passport photos for the visa....

I hope Paul, Sabi Vos, Tex and the rest of you guys hear something soon! This is $@&%ing ridiculous!

By the way, I was talking to a nurse that I work with and she was telling me that her husband was from Scotland (he died awhile back) and they didn't know anything about getting a visa so he stayed in the US on the 3 month visa you automatically get to enter the country for visits and then he went home for a few days and came back. The customs officer told him he couldn't do that but he'd let him in this time but not to over stay. They went to the immigration office in our state and asked what they could do for him to stay. She said the immigration officer said "I'm really not suppose to tell you this but just go get married and apply for AOS" !!!!!!! That was 10 yrs ago but still! I can't believe they told them to do that!!!! Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

It is so funny that you brought this up, because someone I know just asked why Ray and I just don't do that.... Ray was so pissed about the RFE and he knows how much I wanted to get married by the end of October he said he was tempted to just fly here and do that. It really sucks when you try to do the right thing and get punished for it... Boo USA Booo!!!!!

well its the dreaded weekend when nothing happens at USCIS.......hoping for the fastest 48 hours of my life, then on to monday. IF we are not approved by monday around mid day or so, we are going to contact our congress man. My fiancee faxed all the information to the congressman's office 3 weeks back and havent heard back from them since, called this week tuesday and was told the person who is dealing with out case is out of office for the entire week and wont be back until monday..........####### i dont know what they gonna tell us now that we pass the 6 months mark. :ranting: just felt like sharing that with you all.

BTW, congrats to all those who got approved yesterday.

Yes. My Congressman should be taking some more intense action on Monday. Hopefully most of us will have NOA2s this week. And no RFEs. Can't believe the crazy ones some people have been getting...

Maybe it's a new and/or strict adjudicator. I know that whenever I start a new job, I do things by the book until I'm able to see the gray areas better. I wish we didn't have to worry about the littlest things generating an RFE. I scared myself reading the RFE thread at first because it can be really minor things, like having all the signatures in blue ink.

Ours won't... At least not till next Thursday... Apparently the person that looks after our case was on some meeting on Friday, never came back to us even though Terry left a message and after Terry rang again in the afternoon, he's been told that this guy will be away now till Thursday! Well done! They have definitely minus one vote this year!

Yes. It's been very complex to time everything out. My Congressman even tried to get in touch with the right people on Friday at the service center and they weren't even there :( .. It would be nice to just receive approval sometime Monday and not have to continue these games of tag. This has to be the week they finish cleaning up January...

I'm on pinterest but I hardly ever pin anymore! I was obsessed a few months back. I go on there from time to time to look at wedding ideas (I DO have a wedding board but hardly use it haha), although the majority of my pins are food and crafts. I need to get back on there!

Hi Sabi, I thought my appearance here went without notice, but I knew if anyone welcomed me it would be you. The wait for our file to get to New Hampshire seems unbearable but what right do I have to complain when I consider your situation. I'm sure that you'll be approved very soon. I'm so looking forward to seeing your post when you get the good news. Good luck! Tommy
