So I looked at wedding dresses again last night after all of our talk on here and found the one that I really wanted on super-duper clearance so I emailed about it and it was SOLD this morning!!!!!! :crying: Ugh. There is one other that I like but it's a bit more money so I don't know what to do........this sucks. This is why I haven't been planning this stuff! It just makes me mad like waiting for all of this paperwork to be finished!!! More frustration.....I was going to order it after looking at it one more time this morning and boom, gone. Not cool. kate&javi and I have been consoling each other daily on facebook now hahahaha This damn embassy is trying to kill us after we survived so much...she got us another way of speeding things along but no one is answering the phone today so they must not work on Fridays, just like USCIS....ugh. Well, I better go find something "fun" to do today so I don't cry!

Have you checked Etsy? There are some amazing designers on that site from all over the world. It's not all hinky clothing like you see on Regretsy, thankfully! I found my dress on there. The price range can vary based on your budget, but you can definitely find one for under $200, even under $100. Plus, depending on the designer, they will customize it to fit your measurements.

Terry called his congressman office, of course the guy who looks after our case is at the meeting right now... actually since morning... I doubt he will call us back today... another day wasted...

Guys, don't give up, we got approved at 5pm yesterday ( ET) and i remember 3-4 weeks ago one # around me got approved on friday after 530p so the day is not over yet!

Hope so! I know we probably have until about 8 or 9 pm. I think Katchoo's came in around 9 pm the other day...Hopefully someone here received an approval today.

The lady from our congressman's office phoned VCS again today. She was told that they have received our RFE information

(no, duh... really?) :blink:

She was told that once they receive this information that basically the process starts all over again (aka the 5 month processing time). :wacko: Uhm... hello??? The RFE itself says min 14 days, max 60 days... These people are clueless!! :bonk:

Sometimes I think we know the process better than they do... and that's $%&@ing scary!! :help:

She will be calling them again next week, and every week until they send it to NVC.

Yes. It seems that the low level CRS know nothing and care to know nothing regarding the details of the process. They use the scripts and often make up answers as they go along (as seen by the inconsistency of the responses)...hope you'll have your NOA2 soon! Next week. It's time for them to get out of January. I don't know what they're going to do with all the February petitions...at this rate they'll be processing February still in November! Looks like today might go down as another weak day at VSC..We need one of those 8 petitions approved here days. Just can't seem to get them anymore.

It is tough...I felt the same not so long ago...but , God works mysterious ways...Everything id going to be beautiful...You'll see..and once you get your NOA2...everything shifts from snail like pace to lightning fast....

hang in there Sabi! It's horrible how USCIS has ruined our weekends for so long...This is torture, and I hope next week that we can finally have this behind most of us...My Congressman is supposed to formally submit the expedite Monday (he needed to get in touch with a certain person at the office who wasn't there today). I guess Friday really is a no work day at VSC. I also finally got my lawyer to call, and they were told that a service request is possible next Tuesday. Which completely perplexes me because it seems like one heck of an arbitrary date...Other people with later NOA2s have pushed service requests through. But those are useless anyway, so I'm counting on the Congressional influence to help in some way...but who knows...it seems like it becomes very hard to figure out what works and what doesn't when you get toward this length of time. I just hope we won't go another week without approval. Losing so much time..And I know August could slow down NVC again. Got to get out of Vermont somehow. ah. feels like they're holding us all hostage. Somebody needs to set us all free. ha.

Yup. A weak day for sure. I think there were many people out of the office today. My Congressman had to work through some of the drones and still has to wait until Monday to get through to the right people...This is crazy :wacko:. God Bless everyone who filed after us...They are going to need to transfer some of those files to even have a chance at a reasonable processing time.
