oh uh RFE continuous!!! 2 x RFE January 20 (updated just now) and one of them is close to me :(

After using an attorney with over 25 years of experience focusing strictly on K1s and IRC-1s, I would be horrified to receive an RFE..But as we've all learned anything is possible during this process. It's a strange experience indeed. It does seem like RFEs come earlier in the day and approvals later..At least lately..but definitely don't want to receive an RFE. Certainly would rather wait a few more days then be hit with that...Good luck to everyone today. Still no activity with the petitions surrounding my own..about 8 petitions out of those 14 remain untouched..1 RFE. mainly approvals..but last action on any of the 1/18s around mine was on 7/11.

Agreed! I get real nervous seeing an RFE on my date. I just don't even want to see it, I'd rather it just stay at intial review.

Agreed! I get real nervous seeing an RFE on my date. I just don't even want to see it, I'd rather it just stay at intial review.

Yup. I'd rather they pass me by then get stuck with that..I just don't want to be waiting for NOA2 anymore. Approve, and move on. The RFEs are even scarier when you know it would have to be for some bizarre reason.

RayandMelissa, I'm so sorry about your RFE :( I hope it's something simple!

Sabi, I think you are right about your RFE theory. I feel like they are shoving them out just to give them extra time to look over files and still make their stats look good on paper!

We did not use a lawyer and we didn't get an RFE. I was so afraid we would though!

Hopefully the approvals will be pouring in tomorrow!

1/17/12: Mailed Original I129F packet via USPS with signature confirmation to Dallas Lockbox

1/19/12: Packet received at Dallas Lockbox

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

Seems like prime time for approvals has been between 1-5pm each day (Many coming in at the end of the day around 4). So we'll know soon what this day resulted in. Hope it's something! Need to see some approvals.

Well I hope for all of you that this theory is correct! :) Our RFE came about mid-day Noon or so EST if that helps!

Just heard the news that 50 people were shot in Colorado movie theater and 12 killed during the Batman movie - so sad.

So I looked at wedding dresses again last night after all of our talk on here and found the one that I really wanted on super-duper clearance so I emailed about it and it was SOLD this morning!!!!!! :crying: Ugh. There is one other that I like but it's a bit more money so I don't know what to do........this sucks. This is why I haven't been planning this stuff! It just makes me mad like waiting for all of this paperwork to be finished!!! More frustration.....I was going to order it after looking at it one more time this morning and boom, gone. Not cool. kate&javi and I have been consoling each other daily on facebook now hahahaha This damn embassy is trying to kill us after we survived so much...she got us another way of speeding things along but no one is answering the phone today so they must not work on Fridays, just like USCIS....ugh. Well, I better go find something "fun" to do today so I don't cry!

Well... FWIW, the USCIS VSC updated their processing times yesterday... 5 months for K1... and alot of us are at 6+ months. It's just pure torture...

I sure don't want to go into this weekend empty handed again. I guess there are a couple of hours left for something...

Yes..I'm preparing myself for the letdown later...I think we might be looking at next week for some more progress. We've got about 2 hours left and maybe something pops up in the evening..but it is a Friday...I hope next week will be more prosperous for all of us. Going through the timelines there's not as many of us left waiting as I thought. Many profiles are inactive. It's just that middle of the month hole that seems to have persisted for so long....I really thought it would be over this week...I'm pretty shocked..187 days on Monday :(..Seems like we already have or will become one of the biggest threads in the history of this website. Well, I'll hope for something in the next couple of hours....Very tired of USCIS ruining my weekends.

My worst fear is hearing nothing at all ever. Has it really been 6 months? Feels like this process has taken years off my life.

7/30/2013 - NVC Called (603) 334-0700 - Case number received & date sent to embassy received.
