My dress took nearly as long as the NOA2! I ordered it at the beginning of February and it just came in this week. At least now I'll have time to get it tailored.

OH wow! Well, that means that if we do by some miracle have a fall wedding, I will be wearing the one white dress I own that I got on super clearance a few years back...not totally white but it might have to do...! Cheaper anyway and my mom already altered it hahahaha...I am too chicken to order any of the gorgeous ones I have found online...what if it arrives and I don't like how it fits?! So I am stuck...oh well. I was so focused on the paperwork when I went home for Christmas that I didn't even think about going dress shopping! Kate&javi was smart on that one!

You can always go into a wedding dress shop and buy off the rack. It would be a sample that others had tried on, but it would be cheaper. You would just have to have a tailor re-fit it to your measurements.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragment! Is it bad that I feel comfort in not being alone? I would not wish an RFE on anyone, but it is nice to have others to share this with. I hope you hear something fast! Do you have any clue on what the turn around time is on an RFE? On average? What was your RFE for?

Do not feel bad, it is comforting to NOT be alone.. myself and Level99 both received RFE's this month. Ours was for the wrong divorce papers filed by my fiance. Fortunately he had what they needed and he sent back next day (I made him send it overnight with a tracking nbr) :P

Level99's RFE was for their passport photos. (Apparently their faces were "too large" in the pics)...

I think Sabi's "theory" could be correct!!

As far as the turnaround - the RFE actually states that it will take a Minimum of 14 days to respond once they receive our response - up to a maximum of 60 days! (sigh)

Well looks like today was pretty weak again for VJ petitions..Maybe we'll see 1 or 2 more but certainly not what we need...the wait continues...I will keep my expectations very low for Friday. usually not a very good day for VSC. The 5 months update is also pretty annoying...has anyone called today to see if they are still reporting January 9th? I would think an update to the reported date would occur concurrently with the update to processing times.

I am too chicken to order any of the gorgeous ones I have found online...what if it arrives and I don't like how it fits?!

I'm thinking about ordering one of them gorgeous ones online!! But I think I will order it a size too big, and then have it tailored to fit me before the wedding... Still haven't done it yet though... it makes me nervous.

We have already pretty much decided that we are going to have a civil service right after POE and do AOS, and then we are going to have our actual wedding next April... and we will celebrate our anniversary on our "wedding date".

With moving to USA, and then finding a house, getting the kids situated in school, AOS... all that stuff.. I simply could not imagine throwing a big wedding into the mix within 90 days with all that going on!! Impossibly stressful!! :help:

definitely! we are doing the same , simple civil service just to file the paperwork ( so romantic! :P ) and get it over with and then we will do the actual receptions some time next year , one in the USA and another in Taiwan (Terry's dad wants to throw one for us, so how could we say no to a traditional Taiwanese wedding?? )
