Awwwww haha ok :) let's just be realistic, February ;)

Considering how long it took me to go through the 10k for day 15.. I'm reluctant to go through any others, but what I can say is that...

Each processing day appears to encompass about three calender days based on random number punching for other days, if they really do get around 200 per 'processing day' then you're looking at what, 2000 K1 petitions per month? Assuming it takes half an hour to run through one of them that's still 1000 man hours needed to go through a months worth of K1 petitions and then there's all the other forms they have to go through.... it's easy to see why the place is so backed up.

another thing i hate: the time difference meaning that i have to get through so much of the day before VSC even starts work for the day! also since my fiance moved from nyc to new orleans, that extra hour is a pain in the a$s - what time do you guys usually skype? must be really hard if the USC is on the west coast (depending on where the other person is, duh).

Yeah, when you go through numbers and you realise how many petitions they are getting and that's not only I -129f ones , then you sort of start understanding why it takes so long... Well to be honest I have my hopes up for this month but really being approved within 5 months is good enough for me, taking what you just mentioned into consideration :)

Yup I sure got an appreciation for just how much work they actually have, considering fiancée stuff is fairly low priority compared to refugee visas... and I didn't even take into account the whole 'categorisation' of petitions.... yeah 5 months is about right I guess

As for skype? Whenever we can !

@kittylondon, my fiancé is in NM and that's 7 hours difference! That's really painful! But we get around it. He finishes at 3 pm/ 10pm my time so I just wait for him before I go to sleep to see him for an hour or so. Plus weekends :) but yeah , being in the same time difference will be the best thing ever. It's funny how people don't appreciate what they have until they are thrown into a situation like that! I'm sure I will be cherishing the fact we have the same time on our clocks forever :)

Absolutely! L is on Central time so she gets off work at 11pm. By the time she gets home it's midnight, and then I'm usually up to about 2 am talking, then up at 7 for work... I intend that the first day I'm in the USA I shall say hello to my future wife, give her a cuddle and a kiss then go to sleep for about three days....

Haha yeah the same here! We had our skype on 24/7 untill around a week ago when i had to start getting a full night sleep... When we had it on I was constantly waking up throughout the night to see him and talk to him... But my body started getting too weak for all that!

The sleep will be a killer, it usually takes around a week for me to switch to a local time. My fiancé goes to work at 6.30 am and I can't sleep till like 2- 3 am! But hey as long as I'm there with him I don't care how much time will it take for me to adjust :)

Ah now the timezones are fine for me. I'm fine by the first sleep, but the problem is, talking to L means that my body switches to US time while I'm in the UK.... #######!

Our case number starts with EAC129030xxxx. According to VSC they received our petition January 27, 2012 but the hardcopy NOA1 Notice date is January 31, 2012.

We are only 1 hour apart in time, so it is manageable, but yeah, this distance thing and the wait is very difficult at times. :( A lot of people take so much for granted... just like being able to go to the grocery store together, and having a kiss everyday... the little things.. I'm looking forward to those.

We skype everyday for at least an hour or two, more on the weekends. I haven't seen him in person since he came to Canada to visit us in February. He left to go back home on Feb 27th. I am visiting him in one week and staying for 18 days, just praying Customs won't give me a hard time at the airport. (Bringing lots of evidence of ties to Canada with me, just in case).

Unfortunately I know the next phase will take a while for me. I hear it is a lengthy wait to get an interview at the Consulate in Montreal. :(

They actually don't process them in order. I'm a late January (NOA1 1-30). You could (and should) be getting yours any day.... Hopefully we all will!!!!! ?
