I just went to the first page and read some of our early posts just when we filed the petitions, so naive and positive about being approved in May hehe :) here we are 193 pages, almost 6 months later! all in all I have no regrets :) I've met amazing people here who are helping each and every day to go through this hell of a wait :) we will make it guys in one piece! almost there! Knope2012 is right! when I look behind I am really proud of us all! We've made it that far! 6 months is a long wait and we are still here :)That will make us strong, everything from the NOA2 on will get easier :)

I couldn't have said it better, I guess I'm a half full person so that's why I said congrats.

I choose to believe in a pre August 1st approval. It keeps me going and it keeps me positive!

Next to that there is so much stuff we focus on. Bridal shower for Kim, finding matching pants for me, sorting details for the Bachelor party, Skyping with the wedding planner, thinking about how in the world we are going to implement a Huppa in front of an old barn, wedding shoes for Kim, designing the invitations with Illustrator... I mean I can go on for ages. We are focussed on the wedding every. single. day. And I must say that makes both of us really happy and the time go by more quick.

That's exactly how I've started dealing this this. I went from having absolutely NOTHING done for this wedding to doing ALL this in a week and a half: buying my wedding dress (yay!), getting our contract for our venue (still have to sign it and send the deposit), finding locations for our jack and jill shower, narrowing it down and eating lunch/meeting with the planner at the venue for the jack and jill - and now we're ready to sign the contract on that one too, searching for flights for Tom and his dad to come up for the Jack and Jill LOL, designing the invites (FROM SCRATCH with photoshop, and they look GORGEOUS) for the jack and jill, sending them off to the printer, arranging a meeting with our potential photographers (tomorrow evening!), researching where to buy our favours... I'm feeling SO much better now that I'm being productive.

I usually only hop on VJ in the mornings, and again late at night now, just to check on progress. Before I was checking obsessively, spending the entire day on here, and it was really dragging me down. Now I just like to check in and see how it's going :)

definitely...I'll be shocked if they don't increase the processing time...When I called this morning, it was the same old script from 3 weeks ago! Processing January 9th...Can't file service request...what the hell...

Paul I called and got a tier 2 and he said the same thing. Jan 9th ####### and to wait til the 19th (as that will be 6 months) and then they could do something bc in 10 days they'd be on the 19th.... I called em out on it and said "they have been on jan 9 for 2-3 weeks now. Do they just have that many petitions or whats going on?" and he said "that could be it as they receive thousands a day or the office is back logged". What I want to say was "you **** idiot what makes u think that they will be on the 19th in 10 days??? They've been on jan 9 for 2-3 weeks so if it's taking that long how are they going to be on the 19th in 10 days?" but I didn't say anything. I just ended the call. I'm tired of fighting them. I'm goin to call back on the 19th and go off on them if they try to tell me they still can't do anything bc of another lame *** excuse.... I'm fed up with their bullcr*p.... :(

Pray to God you guys in the middle of the month don't get this adjudicator... he seems kinda tough!! :(

No it's funny you should mention that as there seems to be a LOT of RFE's in January. The last time I counted, it was 11 or 12.

I wonder if they are all just in a bad mood because they are behind and overworked? blink.gif

I know...This is hell. They have a system designed perfectly to torment us and prevent any type of accountability. VSC can maintain that January 9th processing time for as long as they desire in the computer. Same excuse for almost a month. This is the craziest process I've ever seen. Many of us will be approaching 180 days next week. Where does it end? I hope it ends this week...but we've all been saying that for 2months..it's hard to believe...but if we're all still waiting by the end of next week then God help us because I don't even know what to do anymore. I didn't realize loving someone from another country was a crime because it sure feels like it. We have fewer rights than they accord to criminals...It's just crazy. And they continue to ignore the middle of the month. I just don't get it.

i'm also getting frustrated of being stuck with getting our case number from NVC. it has been past the 15th business day and they don't have our file yet. I sent our scanned NOA2 yesterday and I don't know how long we are going to wait for them to get it. Should I just keep calling or is there any other way for them to get it faster?

It took us from June 11 to July 5 to get it......I just kept calling every few days...I don't know of anything else you can do. They send them out in batches from CSC to NVC and so it just depends on when they send it and then it takes them a few days to enter them all into the system and assign the new case numbers. Thankfully, ours was sent out to the embassy quickly afterwards and is on its way here! So even though it took forever for our stuff to get to NVC, they didn't make us wait there! Good luck!!! I know how maddening it is to have approval but still not be able to do anything!!! So I think we only have one wait left--for the embassy to assign us the interview date which could take monthsssss more....

I know that many of you out there waiting for NOA2s don't want to hear about us complaining about the wait after NOA2 and I can understand why......but honestly, after getting NOA2 you think that things are actually starting to move and yet they aren't and it's just the same waiting...yea, okay, an approval is great but months more of waiting doesn't make it feel like we are closer to being together and in the US. It's just more of the same insanity of waiting for people to do their jobs. I mean the fact that our embassy tells us that it could take 3 to 4 months just for them to SCHEDULE the interview makes me want to cry....we were planning on an August interview and with that timeline, we will be lucky to have it in October or November....

Yes. I think the listed processing time for K1 at VSC will no longer be 5 months at the next update. It would be almost impossible now. I just hope we can all be done with this by the end of July..

176 days since received date for me (1/18) and 174 from my NOA1 (1/20) It appears likely that I'll be looking at the 180s before approval...VJ Timelines haven't been too lucky today...And tomorrow is Friday.. we know what that means by now...slow down before the weekend.
