Oh well, let's say I just don't get excited after a week of one approval a day to see six January approvals. I'm not a downer, I just don't want to keep my hopes up as I did for the past 3 months and ended up with a great disappointment each time I saw some movement. And that and only that made me down. Everyone deals with this journey the way that makes them feel better. That's my way of dealing with this now. If I see this consistency for the next 3-5 days then I'll believe something has finally moved at VSC!

Having said that I am of course really happy for each and every person approved today :) that's us getting closer each day with every new approval.. :)

Oh Sabi, I'm not picking you, you know I am here for you! I just want to give you a boost. I want to make sure you stay my upbeat friend! This will all be done soon, keep your head above the water just a bit longer. To be frank, the government is just F-ing with all of us. Most government employees don't have heavy demands on productivity. I mean, seriously, this country can't even approve a budget most years...

This is likely one of the hardest things any of us will go through, and I know my friends who have not gone through it would disagree, but what do they know, hahaha, I think that each and every one of us will appreciate our partners so much more and our marriages will be so much stronger than a traditional relationship. Hang in there Sabi and everyone! And congrats to those approved. As for me, I can not take it any longer, I am flying to Ireland today to get some SUGAR!!!! Hug all! heart.gif

I know Mel! I am hating myself like that too :) no more bad attitude though! I have to get back to my positive self and give some positive energy to others :)

Enjoy your trip! And bring some sun over to Ireland please! :)

OMG... Can you say glass half empty???? I will take the 8 approvals from today and pray that means some people are off vacation up there... Sorry ya'll but I can't take much more Debbie Downer from anyone! Myself included. 8 is better than we have seen in a long time!

I couldn't have said it better, I guess I'm a half full person so that's why I said congrats.

I choose to believe in a pre August 1st approval. It keeps me going and it keeps me positive!

Next to that there is so much stuff we focus on. Bridal shower for Kim, finding matching pants for me, sorting details for the Bachelor party, Skyping with the wedding planner, thinking about how in the world we are going to implement a Huppa in front of an old barn, wedding shoes for Kim, designing the invitations with Illustrator... I mean I can go on for ages. We are focussed on the wedding every. single. day. And I must say that makes both of us really happy and the time go by more quick.

That's not to say that we don't have our bad days. Just yesterday morning I cried like a baby because I'm not with my Kim, I live in a house with an older couple (kinda feels like going back living with my parents), nobody here seems to understand what we're going through etc. etc. but then there is Kim who picks me up and encourages me and makes me realize how much this is worth it! When she has a bad day, I pick her up.

My congrats was especially to the folks that actually got their NOA2! I'm really glad for them. We pray for January and Februari filers every day!

Having said that I am of course really happy for each and every person approved today that's us getting closer each day with every new approval..

That's the spirit!!! : o)

Exactly. If you ever wanted a test of a relationship. The arguments, the stress and difficulty this has caused because of the waiting, the messing around. I think it's only the military that has us beat on distance from partners.

We all deserve far more credit than we actually get for surviving this. Doesn't matter how strong your relationship is, doesn't matter how patient you think you are, this process is infuriating, it's stressful and it's downright painful.

well said! our pot of gold is waiting at the end of this huge rainbow! :)

Hi Tex, I don't want to disappoint you more, but VSC takes little bit more time to answer RFE, we received the same RFE from vermont and they took 38 days to answer us, the same for Neetz.

I really hope they are working hard now, so they could take less time to answer you.

Good luck!!!

I hope so too mimicoco! The kids and I are leaving in 12 days to go down for a 3 week visit... I'm hoping we get the approval while we are there with him. :)

Right, so updates for yesterday , here you go:

January 5:

2 x approval

January 30:

3 x approval

January 31:

2 x approval

1 x RFE

I have just one question: where is our box since they managed to skip all our petitions and bravely work on the end of the month???

I had the same question ! Where are mid-Jan ????

Seriously, why are they ignoring mid-January? It can't be one adjudicator who has them all. I think I found my positive thought for today: I'm a million times closer to having my fiance here forever than I was 6 months ago. At least we are in a process, flawed as it may be.

man this dam wait sucks, its like Russian Roulette, people filing month end getting approved and thing and we all sent in the same petition with pretty much the same info and the same forms, except for a few who has filed petitions before, kids, and are divorce. I thought the fact that ours was so straight forward..no criminal background, no kids, no divorce, no waivers, pretty much the same age would have helped but apparently not. :ranting:
