We just got our NOA2! So happy! So you all waiting should hear back soon I am sure. Our NOA 1 was Jan. 23 and we were a Feb. 9 touch. I am hoping your approvals are not far behind ours :)

guys we called uscis again and the woman said "I'm gonna put in a service request for you"

And then she said afterward they won't let it go through because they still say January 9th

We mentioned tier 2 and she said it would be the exact same thing for them

So IDK what else to do... why sometimes they can put a service requestin , sometimes they can't. Its been 175 days and they cannot submit a request, that is so messed up

It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that some folks go through this process and then either wait until the last minute to get married or slip up and don't get married within the 90-day timeframe and thus, putting additional weight (and wait) on their shoulders. There are giant red flashing signs all over this process stating the rules, yet people can't take the time to do it correctly. Meanwhile, we have folks who would love to be with their loved ones right now and they're stuck in the Service Center or NVC purgatory. I haven't seen my honey since January and unless life changes, I probably won't see him for another 2-3 months.

It seems most states have a 3-day waiting period between filing the marriage license and when it can be used, so in theory, you could file on a Monday and get married in your living room (with the appropriate officiant and witness(es)) by Friday. Yet people can't do that?!?

I would seriously get married in my living room tomorrow, in my yoga pants if it meant my honey could be here right now.

I hear ya... I would marry her tomorrow or at least be on the plane to get her if I could. I too haven't seen my fiancee since January, because I am saving every vacation day possible to go get her and spend with her when she arrives. I don't know if my Service Request was anything more than a pacifier. I can't call back for 15 days anyway, and I certainly hope things have moved on before then. There is no rhyme or reason to this... and the closer we get to weeks end, the more I get pissed about it.

What long list are you talking about??? There's not a long list of approvals??? They've trickled in 1-2 at a time over a 3 month time frame?

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

btw 173rd day now... It's Terry's birthday today and I was really hoping we would get his present in a form of my approval by now... It's hard not to be with him on that day and it's even harder not knowing when will it all change!

well 7 approvals today is not speeding up for me... seen that already and what? we are barely over 50% since May...speeding up will be when we all get approved and they start approving February just like CSC...ehhhh

That's what happens to me when I call. I don't know what else to do either so I just wait. It has really stressed me out to my maximum.

love your attitude! :luv: stay strong everyone, and that even includes those of us with noa2 but still missing our partners, we're not there yet either. photomile and i had our medical together today, and had lots of fun chatting about a jan meet up and how amazing everyone is on here... but also how incredibly tough it has been, and continues to be. we can all do it. goodnight now xxx
