wow... this is really depressing :( I'm so sorry for you guys...

At least Vermont forwards the approved petition fast. Our NOA2 from June 26 was already forwarded to Frankfurt on July 5th. I don't know if that makes it more depressing for you or if it gives you some hope :/

I've actually done my medical today, so I am just waiting for pack 3 now.

anyway while we are waiting for our noa2s....

I am trying to summarize all the paper work that will be needed for the interview and aos.

I got some questions.

Will I need Apostille on all of my docs - my birth certificate, police certificate, vaccination record?

Also do I need to get 2-3 "originals" of each? Or will the copies work?

Oh and will i need all of these to be translated (im sure birth cer. and police have to be, but how about others?)

Yes you will need translations of your birt cert and police cert, i have got the sworn translation but people say you can translate yourself... I just wanted to be on a safe side :)

FWIW... I am trying everything I can now and hope to break through somehow... My Congressman's office has contacted the USCIS on my behalf last week and are waiting for an answer, and I also was issued a Service Request and given a Reference # by a USCIS CSR when I called myself today... They said I should hear something in 15 days. Last time I spoke to them, they couldn't even issue a Service Request yet. They told me the same "January 9th" date they gave you all... but at least, there is further inquiry happening now... and hopefully some movement afterwards... Best wishes to you all...

They assume the conditions of marriage will be meet, so this K-1 non-immigrant visa is handled by consulates as an immigrant visa.

Interesting...thanks. The weird thing is that on the Embassy's website for here, K1 is listed on the non-immigrant page...so that's why it's crazy to me! They themselves put it there and yet it's not correct....well, nothing new in this insane process...more people who don't know what they are doing!!! Their response to my email asking why was simply that they are forwarding it to the immigrant visa section...

Hey guys, the lady at my fiance's congressman's office phoned today to follow-up with him. She told him that she had emailed VSC first thing last Thursday morning.. (the same day we got our RFE email).. Hmmmm coincidence?? I don't think so. She told him that VSC responded to her email to let her know they sent us the RFE, and that she wants us to follow up with them right away and to call her and keep her posted, and she will follow up with VSC as soon as we send them back what they want.

Still not sure what the RFE is for but I'm thinking they want a copy of my previous marriage certificate (that shows my name change)... we had only sent in the divorce certs. Time will tell... still have not received the RFE in the mail. :(

So... people... those of you that have contacted your congressman, keep on them about your case... I really believe that the contact from our congressman initiated them looking at our file...

I can honestly say, that having the RFE and knowing that something has been done with our file feels a lot better than not knowing anything at all!!

Hello All,

I filed in January 11, 2012. Got my NOA1, but nothing since now. The lack of news at this point is starting to worry me.

Don't panic friend, we are all in the same boat. There is no real reasoning behind who gets approved first... hang in there. You are not alone!

I disagree and it's rather rude to call someone names because you don't like their response. A&B was simply answering your question. There are people on VJ who don't know/realize that this community is just a small fraction of the thousands of petitions being processed at the various Service Centers.

You take is very different from mine...People come here for help & advice & instead get people being very ugly...Sometimes its best just to stick to the facts & leave personal out of it.

That is so true...I see the list on the right of visa approved and I swear it has not changed since I joined. I am really happy for Max &Flow approved in 5/3/12 but I wish I see different names. We all need hope and some encouragement to get through this.. :crying::wacko::blink:

Good luck to all and may God help us!

I pray for the same. I am see that california is moving so quickly but vermont is still processing applications from Dec. It just really concerns based on personal decisions that has to be made in my own life. Of course I'm sure we are all there & at that point but i wish when we called them we could get straight answers instead of them reading from a script.

Congrats! I hope everything goes quickly for you.

Hopefully this helps, but I would first go to the US Embassy in Jakarta website here to get further information on the process. I see their main # is: Telephone: (62)(21) 3435-9000. You also might want to post in your VJ regional forum - Asia: East and Pacific - for more specific information now that you are moving onto that stage. However, always keep us informed on how things are going for you since you are a January filer! Good luck

Well I say congrats no matter what! kicking.gif I'm still waiting for our petition to be approved, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get your visa. So what's the travel plan?
