Yes we do... we are all close to 6 months now!hard to believe it's been that long...

I wish that VSC does not backdate their processing time on USCIS website on 7/15, to prevent us from issuing srevice requests. i hope if they keep it as 5 moths, otherwise none of us will be able to place a service request or even contacting their local congress offices to say that their cases are behind normal processing time!!!!

Photomile guess what.....our petition did not go to NVC, Tommy has just been on to both VSC and NVC and they confirmed that it went directly from VSC to Dublin for visa issuance, they actually said Our application is not longer in the United States,and gave no other details....So i call Dublin get transferred to a call centre and they tell me that i just have to wait for the Embassy to contact me in "due course"!!! I don't know if i should be worried or excited, the due course bit is a little scary is that a week a month or longer. Anyway just wanted to let you know, and anyone else as i guess all NOA2's don't work the same. And now i can't really update my VJ timeline as yet.....

I disagree and it's rather rude to call someone names because you don't like their response. A&B was simply answering your question. There are people on VJ who don't know/realize that this community is just a small fraction of the thousands of petitions being processed at the various Service Centers.

I am well away that everyone who applies with the USCIS is not on VJ. Wow, why is that people are always so rude & condescending when a question is asked!!!!! I just asked a simple a question. You didn't have to answer if you were going to be jerk about it!

People If you can't answer the question without being ugly. Please just dont answer it. This process is hard enough as is & negativity is definitely not needed.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone. It's a full work week for USCIS with no holidays to slow down the process.

I called NVC today. They didn't have our case, but gave me the email address to send a scan of our NOA2 for them to research. I sent the scan, but will probably call again on Friday since that will be one month since our approval. In the meantime, I'm tackling wedding plan options without making any commitments. I started working on the guestlist last night and am meeting with a wedding officiant next weekend. She's originally from the UK and married an American, so she knows what we're going through. I swear it was serendipity to find her.

Hey all. Thought I'd let you guys know. I called and told them that I was on hold with a tier 2 rep when my phone died before I could get it plugged in. They transferred me. I waited for 20-30 mins before i got to talk to someone. He took my information and looked up my case. He gave me the same jan 9th #######!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called him out on it and said that they have been working on Jan 9th for 2-3 weeks now, so did they just have that many apps? And he said that could be it bc they receive thousands of apps a day or it could just be that their office is back logged!!!!!!!!!!! He said to give it 2 weeks because their website says 5 months but July 19th would be considered outside of normal processing times. He said I could call back then and they'd see what they could do then......

yeah well it is a little sad you are getting an approval a month ago and some people already have interviews and others wait for their case number... oh well, what in this process is fair right?

This is ridiculous that we paid for this **** service and can not GET SERVICE!!!! They keep thwarting your efforts to keep people quiet and to keep from getting a flood of service requests!!! This is ridiculous! There has GOT to be SOMETHING someone can do to push them and get a dang answer other than January 9th, January 9th!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so mad right now......

He said it'd take them 10 days to get to my date... Again... They've been on jan 9th for more than 10days now so who's to say they'll be on jan 19th in 10 days.......

That sounds like me. My wedding photographer is a USC but married an Australian, so she was really flexible with me since I'm going through the visa stuff. I already had to move the date once and my location, makeup artist/hair stylist, and photographer have all been great. Especially since I may have to move it again with the way things are going.

That really upsets me! How come we were able to put in a service request and you can't! This unfairness drives me up the wall!

I know I really have the worst luck ever. I never ever win anything and if something bad is going to happen, it will happen to me. Now it also seems I am not even able to make my own luck. I'll just wait and call back in 2 weeks and email my case worker back at my congressman's office. If that gets me no where I will ask my caseworker who else I can go to to get something done

Well I hope something comes of it. Maybe I should go ahead and try that as well. Maybe they'll see if there's more than just 1 of us doing it they will do something. The squeaky wheel gets the grease right?

Btw Knope, I hope you have better luck with a service request. An hour later I had zilch. It was a complete waste of time.
